Capital and Population

Chile is a Spanish country located in South America. The capital of Chile is Santiago. It has a population of 17.62 million, according to the 2013 census. Chile is the 59th largest country based on population. Size wise, Chile is the thirty-seventh country on the list.
Famous People of Chile
Some famous people of Chile are:
Arturo Vidal is a soccer player and is 27 years old. He plays for Chile's national futbol team.
Nicole Snooki Polizzi is a reality star at the age of 26.
Cristian Delafuente is a TV actor at the age of 40.
Government
Chile is a unitary state with a presidential system. Chile was founded on September 18, 1810. The president of their country is Michelle Bachelet. Chile is also a Democratic Republic. Chile is called the Republic of Chile.
Major Exports of Chile
Some major exports of Chile are:
Refined copper.
Raw copper.
Wood pulp.
Wine.
Sulfate Chemical.
Copper ore.
As you can see, Chile's most popular export is copper.
Major Religions
There are many different religions everywhere. In some places there are more than other. In Chile, Roman Catholics make up 66.7% of all of Chile. There is 16.4% people who are Protest, 1% of Jehovah's Witnesses, 11.5% have no religion, and 3.4% of the people in Chile follow other religions.
US dollar-Chilean Peso
Many different countries use different currencies. From country to country, money varies. The country of Chile's unit of currency is called the Chilean Peso. If we want to convert 1 US dollar into Chilean Peso, it would equal 601.96 CLP. Imagine how long it would take to exchange our US dollars with Chilean Peso!
Tradition
A lot of traditions have traditional dances or songs that make each tradition special. In Chile, the Cueca is the national dance. It was declared the national dance by 1979. The national song of Chile is "Nueva Cancion" which means new song. It is one of the most important song of 1960.

Climate
The climate of Chile is as normal as any ordinary climate. They have temperate weather, but up in the north, it is desert like. The Mediterranean is in the central region. Down in the south, the weather is much cooler.
