Overview
Introduction
Today I am going to tell you about the history of different types of lego robots, how the FIRST lego league came to be, and what it is, and cool pictures of different kinds of lego robots.
Track3r
August 1, 2013
The Lego Mindstorm Track3r is one of the easiest Mindstorms to build, but it can still do a lot of cool stuff. The first attachment is a spinning blade, which can knock away obstacles. The second is a little gun that can shoot projectiles to knock down lego tires. The third one is a gripping claw that can grab an object, and move it somewhere else. It also has a hammer that can hit things, and lastly, a time trial, which times the different missions.
Spik3r
August 1, 2013
The Spik3r is another one of the robots you can build with the EV3 box set. It cant do as much as the Track3r, but is still pretty cool. It has a tail that can shoot projectiles. It also has six legs that can maneuver around obstacles. In the front of the Spik3r is a pincer-like contraption, Which can grab things and move them.
My prezi is on lego robots, as well as the history behind them. I chose to to lego robots because I like legos, and since this is robotics, I chose lego robots.

Lego Robots
Lego Robots in
General

Lego robots, whether they are lego Mindstorms or anything else, are made to complete certain tasks. As an example, the bridge layer was made to lay a bridge across something the robot cannot cross.
The Lego Mindstorm EV3 Box Set
August 1, 2013
The Lego Mindstorm EV3 box set is the newest and the most famous version of Lego Mindstorms. It costs $349, and is about 600 pieces. You can build up to five different robots with this set, which include the Track3r, the Spik3r, the Rapt3r, the Gripp3r, and the EV3 storm. Lets see what these robots can do!
The R3ptar is another lego robot in the EV3 lego mindstorm box set. It can slither like a snake, and shoot its head forward and opening and closing its mouth, as if it were biting. It has a remote control, so you can take charge of what you want it to do.
Gripp3r

Lego Mindstorm EV3 Storm
August 1, 2015
The Gripp3r is a very cool Lego Mindstorm and can detach its hands so you can plug in a cord, so you can control his hands. His top half can also come off, so its easier for it to manuver around obstalces. Last, it can be controlled with a remote control, so you can decide what it does.
R3ptar
August 1, 2013
The Lego Mindstorm EV3 Storm is the most famous of the EV3 five. It has a gun attatchment, and a spinning blade attachment for its left arm. It has a sling shot and hand attachment for it's right arm.
FIRST LEGO league
1999
The FIRST LEGO league was founded by: Kjeld Kristiansen and Dean. It is a competition for middle school students to build a lego robot, as well as different attachments to complete the tasks on the map. Each team has to place the robot on a map and complete obstacles.
FIRST LEGO League Rules
1999
1. They only have two and a half min.
2. No remote controls aloud, only the programming.
3. Only two team members are allowed on the table to handle the robot.
4. If the robot breaks down, all team member can repair the robots the problem lasts.
Lego Mindstorm NXT Scorpion
August 1, 2009
The Lego Mindstorm NXT scorpion can open and close its claws to grab things, and its tail has a small sensor that can identify an obstacle blocking its path.
Lego Mindstorm NXT Crane
August 1, 2009
The Lego Mindstorm NXT crane can drop its arm and grab things, that's pretty much it.
Lego Mindstorm Box Set
August 1, 2009
The Lego Mindstorm NXT box contains 619 pieces and is $280. You can build four robots with this set.
The Lego mindstorm tribot has two claws in front, which allows it to pick up objects. Under it's head there is a obstacle sensor. On it's tail there is a color sensor.
Lego Mindstorm NXT Alpha Rex
August 1, 2009
The Lego Mindstorm Alpha Rex has its controller in it's chest. It has two hands that can carry things, as well as a obstacle sensor, and color sensor.
