Martin Luther King Jr raised awareness of racial discrimition towards African Americans, which is what has shaped the world today.
He was a historical figure who also created a strong relationship with John F Kennedy, the president at the time.
Martin Luther King Jr was passionate about equal rights for all Americans.
In 1968, Martin Luther King Jr was assinated by James Earl Ray.
As soon as his death was announced, the president at the time demanded a public holiday to remeber the impact he had on America.
Martin Luther King Jr will be remembered forever as a successful leader.

He became a Pastor of the Ebenezer Baptist Church, continuing the family line.

Martin Luther King Jr presented the memorable speech, "I have a dream" at a march outside the White House in 1963.
"I have a dream" exposed all of the American society to the painful reality of racial discrimination towards African Americans.
I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the colour of their skin, but by the content of their character.
