Transcript of Organelles and Everyday Objects

Mitochondria A mitochondria makes energy for a cell. This seems like health clubs because at health clubs, people exercise, and by working out at health clubs people gain the energy or strength for their body. A cell membrane regulates what enters and leaves the cell. It also provides protection and support. A cell membrane resembles a airport security system. It checks through luggage to see which ones could enter and which ones can not, and they offer protection and support to the airport by no threatening things allowed. Cell Membrane A cytoskeleton is a network of protein filaments that helps the cell maintain its shape and also with cell movements. I think this would be similar to a psychologists. If there is someone with troubled emotions, they help out by listening to their problems and giving advises that would help. What they do will help people have healthier minds and make it possible for them to live like others and keep up their shape. Cytoskeleton Nucleus The nucleus controls cell processes and contains genetic information. It reminds of a chip of a phone. While it controls what the phone should do and sends out orders, it contains all the information about the phone as also. A vacuole is a fluid filled like saclike storage structures and they provide support for plants. A vacuole resembles a cream inside of a shuecream. It is fluid, but it also keeps the fluffy looking of the shuecream's shape. Vacuole A lysosome digest proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, old organelles and other debris. This reminded me of a blender. No matter what goes in, it blends all the materials together for people to eat like the lysosome digest all proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, old orgenelles and other debris in for a cell. Lysosome Golgi Apparatus Smooth ER A golgi apparatus processes and packages proteins. It is like a dam because a dam not only flows the water to a different places but also stores it up as also. Organelles
Everyday Objects A smooth ER is a membrane system with other functions depending on types of cells. It resembles a water. Depending on what you mix it with, it becomes a different drink.
