DRIVEN MLK wanted freedom
for his family and all
African Americans. MLK chose a religious path and in 1953 he graduated with his doctorate MLK was married and moved to Montgomery to be a pastor, here he arranged the Montgomery Bus Boycott In 1957 MLK was nominated the
SCLC's president and became
a huge Civil Rights Leader. In 1963 MLK was leading a
protest in Birmingham where
his drive for African Americans
rights were put to the test when
he was arrested, but police
brutality was used and MLK's
non-violent tactics made an
impact. In late 1963 MLK delivered his I
Have a Dream speech, leaving
the world in awe and most with
wet eyes. This speech showed his drive to
live and raise his family in a
world where color didn't matter,
and he had the drive to make it
happen. "It may be true that the law cannot make a man love me, but it can stop him from lynching me, and I think that's pretty important."
