New York has religious freedom which means that all religions are welcomed.

The main religions are Catholics, Lutherans, Jews and many others.

The land in New York is very mountainous to the north east.
The rest of New York is flat.
The soil in New York is very suited for farming.

Mountains in northeast, lowlands from lake Ontario along the Canadian border, Atlantic Coastal plain. A mix of New England and Southern but had fertile soil and land that was suited for farming.

Like New York, New Jersey has religious freedom which gave way for Quakers, Lutherans, Catholics, Jews and others.

New Jersey is often reffered to as a breadbasket colony because it grows so many crops, especialy wheat.
The wheat is put into flour mills then shipped to England.

Henry Hudson (born c. 1560s/70s) was an English sea explorer and navigator in the early 17th century.

Hudson made two attempts on behalf of English merchants to find a prospective Northwest Passage to Cathay (today's China) via a route above the Arctic Circle.

His surname means "midnight." He was Director of the Dutch colony of New Netherland from 1626 until 1633, and founded the New york colony with others
