Transcript of Walt Disney
I was born at home on the second floor in Chicago,IL on December 5th,1901.
I was one of five children.I had three brothers and one sister.I lived most of my life in Marceline Missouri.
I attended Mckinley High School in Chicago.I also attended Kansas City Art Institute.
I had three brothers named, Herbert, Raymond, and Roy O, and one sister named,Ruth Flora Disney. . I was married to Lillian Disney. I had two children named , Diane Disney Miller, Sharon Mae Disney.
-At age 16, I applied to the enlist military, but I got rejected for my age.
-After I got rejected, I went to France and joined the Red Cross.
-I drove the Red Cross ambulances and chauffeured the Red Cross officials.
-My ambulance was covered from grill to the rear with Disney cartoons.
-After spending a year in France, I returned home to pursue his interest in commercials and art. This lead to My career in animation.
- I started a company named “Laugh-O-Grams.” While I was working at “Laugh-O-Grams,” I started creating the “Alice Comedies,” also known as “Alice in Wonderland.”
-“Laugh-O-Grams” went bankrupt in 1923 and I packed up my suitcase and went to start another business in Hollywood. I was not yet 22.
-After I started his new business, I married Lillian, an employee, on March 13, 1925 in Lewiston, Idaho.
-Lillian and I had two daughters named, Diane and Sharon.
-3 years later, I created Mickey Mouse.
-I created the world’s first sound cartoon, called “Steamboat Willie.” “Steamboat Willie” premiered at Colony Theater in New York City, on November 18, 1928.
-Shortly after, Technicolor was invented and I started to make colored cartoons.
-On December 21, 1937 “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” was released. It was the first full-length musical.
-During the next 5 yrs. I produced, “Fantasia,” “Bambi,” “Pinocchio,” and “Dumbo.”
-In the year of 1938, my mother, Flora Disney died a tragic death.
-Her death was caused by asphyxiation, which was faulty because of her new house I had just moved her into that was closer to my studio.
-After her death, I blamed himself for moving her into her new home.
-In 1940, I had a staff of more than 1,000 artists, animators, story men, and technicians at his Burbank Studio in Hollywood.
-In 1955, Disneyland opened! It cost about 17million dollars to build.
-On the opening day, more than 200million people came, including presidents, kings and queens and other famous people. Judy Garland -spoke at the opening ceremony.
-I continued to make many more animated movies and my company flourished with ideas and fame. I died on -December 15, 1966 and my imagination and creativity still remains magical today.
My career is making animated movies.
I made people happy by my cartoons and movies. In 1955 I opened Disneyland in California the first big modern theme park, and many attractions for the worlds fair in 1964 world's fair.

I died of lung cancer at the age 65 at 9:35a.m on December 15,1966 in Burbank,California.
