Transcript of Strawberry Spring
By: Stephen King
The narrator tells a story of a series of murders of women that began at his college 8 years ago. When Strawberry Spring comes back around another murder similar to the ones at the collage occurs. The narrator tries to think back to the night before he learned about the latest killing, but he cant remember anything. He gets a feeling that he might be the murderer of all the innocent women.
Stephen King was born September 21, 1947, his parents were split up and he had a very close brother. When he was older he moved in with his mother and brother in Maine. Stephen went to school and was well known by doing activities he loved. He worked odd jobs before he knew he had talent, writing horrid stories. His first selling novel was Carrie. Stephen has "sold over 350 million copies worldwide"(A&E Networks). Many directors wanted to film his stories because they had interesting story lines that everyone wanted, mystery and bloodcurdling.
The dark romanticism would be: The fog, and how it represents a blur in his memory as well as hiding dark things in the night and how the fog usually appeared before or after a killing making things unclear in his mind and in the real world. It involved a mystery and left us not knowing who the killer was until he was revealed as the killer of the women and the ugly truth. Makes the reader think he was innocent and really he was a horrific murderer. Leaves you thinking twice about people. Has a dark twist to the story showing the dark romanticism.
