Transcript of Loss of Individuality

Loss of individuality in relationhips
Losing yourself in a relationship can create
anxiety,depression,anger,tension,and even hopelessness
.It also may cause for you to rebel ,to express
yourself in an exaggerated or extreme ways that
may be a threat to the relationship. losing yourself
trying to conform to your partners ways.

Social media causes many people to change the way people express themselves in order to conform to society. For example, many people start to look at the different things people get or do and try to be the same as them. This causes them to lose their indidviduality and conform to the different ways of their friends and families. There have been many different occasions where people see their friends with new stuff and they want the same thing.

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”
- Mahatma Gandhi

Culture doesn’t help people express themselves because of their religion and beliefs, therefore they choose to conform to their own little society lacking individuality. All indivuduals must have their own freedom of religious and the ability to explore their own uniquness of their cultures, and keep their own cultural identity of themselves. Understanding and valuing cultural diversity are the keys to countering racism. All individuals must feel free to explore the beautiful side of their culture and identity while developing understandings of the cultural diversity that exists in the world around them. Denying cultural expression means limiting the expression of unique perspectives on life and the transmission of knowledge from generation to generation.

Conclusion
As you can all see, "Loss of Individuality" can be many differernt things. These examples explain the different ways loss of individuality can be lost or gained. This can be the way you act , do , or say something that other people do. Many individuals look upon what others are doing and try to be the same.
Loss of individualty is doing and thinking as others: behavior or thought that is socially acceptable or expected

Conformity
Conformity involves developing attitudes, opinions, and behaviors to match the attitudes of a specific group. Most people conform to the standard values, also called norms, of many groups without stress and often without even knowing that they are doing so. By itself conformity is neither good nor bad.

Social conformity: behavioral or
attitudinal compliance with
recognized social patterns or
standards.

People will take over your life if you let them.
How do they do it?
Step 1: They begin by taking over your time.
Example: “This will only take a minute…”
Works Cited
Step 2: They continue by asserting their priorities over yours.
Example: “We need this done right away.”
Step 3: They assume they know better than you do.
Examples: “Let me give you some free advice.”

“I know just what you should do.”

“This will be a win-win for both of us.”

Step 4: When you decline to give in to the demands, they’ll attempt to make you feel bad.
Examples: "I’m not sure why you’d say no to this great opportunity.”

“I really need your help to ensure this project succeeds.”

“Can we talk about why you don’t feel this is a good fit?”

“What exactly was the difference? he wondered to himself. And who decided which people wore the striped pajamas and which people wore the uniforms?”
― John Boyne, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas

“He looked down and did something quite out of character for him: he took hold of Shmuel's tiny hand in his and squeezed it tightly.
"You're my best friend, Shmuel," he said. "My best friend for life.”
― John Boyne, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas

“Bruno: We're not supposed to be friends, you and me. We're meant to be enemies. Did you know that? ” John Boyne, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas

Individuality

Bring forth to the table
what it is you have in yourself
rather than bringing forththat which has already been brought by another
“Well you've been brought here against your will, just like I have. If you ask me, we're all in the same boat. And it's leaking.”
― John Boyne, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas

“When I make mistakes I get punished,' insisted Bruno, irritated by the fact that the rules that always applied to children never seemed to apply to grown-ups at all (despite the fact that they were the ones to enforced them).” ― John Boyne, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas

Individuals

We are all individuals,we all define beauty in different kinds of ways.
And although we will always have things in common,we will never be the same.
We are not ordinary, we are uniqe and gifted.
We are all like tiny little pieces of shattered glass, sharp yet fragile.
And we each have atleast one hidden talent that awaits us but we just need to find them.

Loss of Individuality
Culture
As you can see in this picture it shows a relationship were it seems that they both are together but yet need to give eachother their own space .
Loss of
Individuality

A poem of conforming to culture
I am
as my culture carries me
I am
sharp as
Cutlass
Yet blunt
as butter knives

Betwixt tongues
I adopt
Sarcastic linguistic-flirtation
"...i've 'ave a large one"
Knowing full well
how it sounds
I am
Gentle grace
a piano without real sound
a world in mind, I conceal
I do not live
I merely breathe

I am
Panic attacks as
the sun sets
I am
the smoker's buddy
as I inhale, exhale
passively...

Passive
Silent, I govern
the world in my own head
so silently
scorning, seething
like I do humanity
