Thinking Globally
by; Laurelann Pineda
Thinking Globally is being a person who takes action in their community both locally and wider. A person who values all life and takes time to understand those who are different then they are.
Define Thinking Globally
Songs For thinking Globally
Start Locally
"Saving our planet, lifting people out of poverty, advancing economic growth... these are one and the same fight. We must connect the dots between climate change, water scarcity, energy shortages, global health, food security and women's empowerment. Solutions to one problem must be solutions for all. "

Lyrics:

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace, you

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people sharing all the world, you

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one

"Personal transformation can and does have global effects. As we go, so goes the world, for the world is us. The revolution that will save the world is ultimately a personal one."

Marianne Williamson
"The essence of global health equity is the idea that something so precious as health might be viewed as a right."
Paul Farmer
Learn , Learn , Learn
The last but perhaps most important facet of thinking globally is to never stop learning and growing your mind and perspective
"On either side of violent conflict , an opportunity exists to exercise compassion and diminish fear based on recognition of each other humanity. Without such recognition, fear fueled assumptions, cultural prejudice, desperation to meet basic human needs, or the panicked uncertainty of the moment explodes into violence."
Aberjhani
In Summation
Thinking globally is not a concept just for school, its something real people can do and are doing. It the way to start to effect change for all the struggling people and to re-frame your world.
Problems Right Here
48.1 million Americans lived in food insecure households, including 32.8 million adults and 15.3 million children.
Suicide is the tenth leading cause of death in America
1/3 to 1/2 of America's food goes uneaten
1/2 of Americans live in areas with dangerously high levels of air pollution.
Many other problem plague Americans but these are some of the big ones. They also have easy ways to get involved. Many charities work to end food insecurity and food waste like
Stop Hunger Now.
Another example is
AFSP
