This earthquake happened in Greece. The exact location of the epicenter is in the ocean, but the blast spread rapidly.
January 8, 2006, at 1:34 p.m.
6.8 - 7.0 on the Richter Scale.

Death toll
There was 1 death.
2 people were seriously injured while evacuating their house.
50 old houses were demolished
The village of Mitata in Kythira, Greece suffered the most damage.
Many airports in Greece were damaged.
All buildings damaged by the earthquake have been successfully rebuilt.
There were a few after shocks from this earthquake. Most after shocks only lasted seconds, but were followed by more.
4 additional details/information:
1. Largest (widely spread) earthquake ever in Greece.
2. The earthquake was even felt as far away as Egypt.
3. There was no tsunami, but there was some damage made by water.
