What is a Youth Exchange?
An opportunity for young people and their leaders from organisations in two or more countries to engage in non-formal educational activities.
Young People aged 13 to 30, plus their Youth Leaders/Workers.

Minimum 16 and maximum of 60 participants (group leaders not included).

Minimum 4 participants per group (group leaders not included).

Overall Project (including Preparation, Implementation, Evaluation, Dissemination) can be between 3 and 24 months.

Exchange Activity can be between 5 and 21 days, excluding travel time.

Advanced Planning Visit: Maximum 2 days, excluding travel time.

What is a Strategic Partnership?
The aim of a Strategic Partnership is the achievement of long-term strategic objectives and outcomes.


Applicant Organisations must be established in a Programme Country.

Participating Organisations can be established in any Programme country or in any Partner Country (Strategic partnership may include partner countries where their participation can be shown to bring essential added-value).

Non-profit organisations, youth associations or NGO's, Public Bodies, enterprises active in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility or informal groups of young people.

A Strategic Partnership in the youth field should involve a minimum of 2 organisations from different Programme Countries.

Wat is European Voluntary Service (EVS) ?
EVS enables young people to spend a period of time in another country as a full-time volunteer.
Young People aged 17 to 30 years.

The volunteer must be from the country of their sending organisation.

Projects may involve just one or two volunteers, or up to the maximum number of 30 volunteers per project (provided the organisations are accredited to do so).

Projects must have a minimum of two participating partner organisations – a sending organisation and a receiving (hosting) organisation.

Overall Project (including Preparation, Implementation, Evaluation, Dissemination) can be between 3 and 24 months.
Standard EVS Activity: 2-12 months.
Short-term EVS for young people with fewer opportunities: 2 weeks – 2 months.

This activity supports the professional development of youth workers in the form of:

participation of youth workers in seminars, training courses, contact-making events, study visits;
a job shadowing/observation period abroad in an organisation active in the youth field. It offers youth organisations the possibility to increase international co-operation, to share best practice and explore innovations in youth work practice.

Youth Workers (there are no age limits).

Activities can have a maximum of 50 participants (including trainers and facilitators).

Six Youth Organisations are interested in sharing good practice on Youth Unemployment. The project revolves around creating a network to analyse recognition tools and an online tool consisting of learning modules, linking competences directly to employability skills.

The partnership consists of 36 participants from the 6 organisations: (UK, Denmark, Greece, Portugal, Slovenia, Ireland). The project will last for one year.

What is a Transnational Youth Initiative?
Strategic partnerships include the opportunity for young people to develop Transnational Youth Initiative activities (or Youth Democracy-type activities).
Transnational Youth Initiatives are a type of Strategic Partnership project which reflects the interests of the young people in each partner organisation.

Each organisation must involve a minimum of 4 Young People aged 13-30.
Groups involving young people under 18 years MUST have a COACH.
A Transnational Youth Initiative must reflect the full participation of the young people at all stages of the project.
Applicant Organisations must be established in a Programme Country.
Participating Organisations can be established in any Programme Country. Organisations from Partner Countries may be involved as project partners provided that their participation can be shown to bring an essential added-value to the project.
A Transnational Youth Initiative in the youth field should involve a minimum of 2 organisations from different programme Countries.
Non-profit organisations, youth associations or NGO's, Public Bodies, Enterprises active in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility or Informal groups of young people.
Transnational Youth Initiatives must take place only in the countries of the of the Participating Organisations.

Key Action 3 promotes the active participation of young people in democratic life and fosters debate around topics centred on the themes and priorities set by the
Structured Dialogue
and the renewed political framework in the youth field.
What are Structured Dialogue Meetings?
Structured Dialogue projects can take the form of meetings, conferences, consultations and events. These events promote the active participation of young people in democratic life in Europe and their interaction with decision-makers. A Structured Dialogue project has three phases:

Planning and preparation.
Implementation of activities.
Evaluation (including reflection on a possible follow-up).

Applicant organisation must be established in a Programme Country.

Participating organisations can be established in any Programme Country or in any Partner Country (Organisations from eligible Partner Countries can only take part in the project as partners not as applicants).

Non-profit organisations, youth associations or NGOs, and Public Bodies.

A Structured Dialogue project (international meetings) should involve two participating organisations from at least two different countries, of which at least one is a Programme Country and (National meetings) involves one organisation from a Programme Country.

The project must take place in the country of the applicant organisation.

Voordat je een Erasmus+ subsidie kunt aanvragen, zullen jij en je partner organisatie een PIC (Personal Identification Code) moeten aanvragen.


Je zult maar één keer een PIC code aan hoeven vragen tijdens de duur van het Erasmus+ programma.

STAP 2 (Pre-Registratie)
STAP 3 (Subsidie Aanvragen)
1. Na de deadline zal er contact met je opgenomen worden om het bewijs van je aanvraag te bevestigen.
2. Je aanvraag zal voorgelegd worden aan een beoordelaar die contact met jou zal opnemen en een verzoek kan indienen om sommige ophelderingen te geven omtrent je aanvraag. In deze fase kun je geen substantiële aanpassingen doorvoeren aan je aanvraag.
3. Je aanvraag zal door een subsidie commissie worden bekeken (bestaande uit experts uit de jeugdsector en onder toezicht van het Nederlands Jeugd Instituut). De subsidie commissie zal de uiteindelijke beslissing maken over je aanvraag.
4. Je zult bericht worden over het uiteindelijke besluit binnen 10 weken na de deadline.

STAP 4 (Wat gebeurt er nadat je je aanvraagformulier hebt ingediend?)
Aanvragen mogen niet meer gecorrigeerd worden als ze eenmaal zijn ingediend. Je moet ervoor zorgen dat je een gedetailleerde aanvraag en alle benodigde bijlagen hebt toegevoegd.

Een getekende declaration of honours (moet gescand zijn en als bijlage toegevoegd aan de aanvraag)
Een mandaat voor iedere partner organisatie
Activiteiten tijdschema
(Alleen voor EVS aanvragen - Als je geen geldige accreditatie hebt, zul je het expression of interest fomulier (EI) 6 weken (minimale tijdsduur) voor de deadline moeten invullen & indienen. http://europa.eu/youth/evs_database)
5. Als je project goedgekeurd is, zul je een contract (2 kopieën) ontvangen (het zou kunnen dat je uitgenodigd wordt om je contract in ontvangst te nemen en meer gedetailleerde informatie te krijgen over je contractuele verplichtingen.
6. Beide kopieën van het contract moeten getekend worden door je wettelijke verantwoordelijke en teruggegeven worden aan het Nederlands Jeugd Instituut voor ondertekening.
7. Als je contract eenmaal getekend is, zal je eerste betaling (meestal 80%) verwerkt worden.
8. Je zult een compleet eindverslag (e-form) moeten hebben binnen 8 weken na de einddatum van je project (verslag legging van de activiteiten die hebben plaatsgevonden, de kwaliteit van de activiteiten en de uitkomsten, en een verslag over hoe de financiën beheerd zijn in correspondentie met programma regels en de contractuele verplichtingen).
9. Het eindverslag wordt beoordeeld en je zult door een financiële medewerker worden benaderd om de laatste betaling of restitutie te bevestigen – het Nationaal Agentschap heeft 45 dagen om het eindverslag te beoordelen.
