John Francis Bongiovi(Jon Bon Jovi) Bon Jovi Jon Bon Jovi's original name is John Francis Bongiovi jr. they changed his name for the band's sake. His home town is Sayreville, New Jersey. He is married to his high school sweetheart Dorathea Hurley. They have been married since April 29, 1989. Toghether they have 4 kids. They are: Stephanie Rose, Jesse James Louis, Jacob Hurley, and Romeo Jon. Jon's parents are John Francis Bongiovi Sr., a hairdresser, and Carol Sharkey, florist, former model, and one of the first Playboy bunnies. Jon has many talents. He sings as the lead singer for Bon Jovi, and writes all of their songs with his partner Richie Sambora who is the lead guitarist of the band. Jon can also play several instruments. In his high school years, he marched trumpet in the band. he also plays guitar, and the harmonica. He has also acted in several movies. Jon is the founder and primary owner of the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League. Jon and his family run a restaurant called the soul kitchen. What they do is serve food to customers, and if you can pay for it, then you pay for it, but if you can't then you can work at the soul kitchen as a volunteer, and pay it of that way. Even though Jons got a big house with the money, family, and fame, things have not ran so smoothly here lately. about three months ago, Jon's daughter Stephanie had a drug overdose on heroine in her college dorm room, and got arrested. The family was devistated. Stephanie is doing fine, but is in a lot of trouble. Richard Stephen Sambora(Richie Sambora) Richard Sambora AKA "Richie" is the lead guitarist of Bon Jovi. He is 53 years old, and was born July 11, 1959. Richie is from Perth Amboy, New Jersey. He is of the Christian faith. He was the last person to join the band. They refer it as "The Missing Puzzle Piece". Tico Torres, the bands drummer, had already knew Richie as a friend. Tico told Jon about Richie, and told him how good of a guitarist Richie was. Later, Jon and Richie met, and they hit it right off. the two have been best buds ever since. Richie was married to actress Heather Locklear for 11 years when their marriage came to an ugly end. In the year of 2006 Heather filed for a divorce against Richie who later found out about it by reading the local newspaper. The divorce was hard for the both of them, but it was even harder on their daughter Ava Sambora, who was 9 at the time. Heather and Richie both got to the point of depression. Richie was drinking on and off, and was in and out of rehab, Untill one day Jon noticed that Richie forgot the guitar solo to "Wanted Dead or Alive", and sat him down and told him "look this isn't you. This is not exeptable. You really broke my heart tonight." Then Richie's eyes were opened, and he noticed that he was a mess. With the full support of the band, Richie went to rehab, while a backup guitarist filled in for him. since Richie got out, he has remained sobber ever since. All you see him drink now is water. Richie has several solo albums out, and goes around the world with the band. After this, Heather had an overdose on pills, and she went to rehab to get help. during this time, Richie called her everyday to make sure she was ok. Even though the two are separate, they still remain good friends. Hector Samual Guan Torres(Tico Torres) Tico is the drummer for the band Bon Jovi. He was the second addition to the band. He was also the one who suggested Richie, and Alec for the band. Tico was born October 7, 1953(age 59). he was born in New York, but was raised in New Jersey. Tico is of the Christian faith. Tico can sing, act, play the drums, draw, and paint. Tico married Maria Alejandra in September 2001. This is his third marriage. They have a son named Hector Alexander, born on January 9, 2004. Tico and his first wife divorced soon after the formation of Bon Jovi. He then married the model Eva Herzigova, and then they divorced two years later, then he married Maria. Tico has his own clothing line for kids, and a drummer's kit going around that you can buy, and it will teach you all you need to know about being a drummer. Tico enjoys being in the band. David Bryan Rashbaum known as David Bryan is the lead keyboard player for Bon Jovi. He is from Sayreville, New Jersey, and was born Febuary 7th 1962(age 50).not only can David play the keyboard, he sings too. David was raised Jewish by his father Eddie Rashbaum who played Trumpet in band. David just recently co-wrote the broadway musical "Memphis", But David's life is not all wrapped around his work, he has a family to take care of, or so we think. He was married to April McLean, and no one knows what happened with them, then another woman Lexis Queaas. and her children is who David takes care of. David was one of the first members to join the band. There is not much you can find on David, because he wants to keep his life more private. I know this has noting to do with anything, but David's face reminds me of Will Ferrel's. like If you cut his hair off, and dye it brown, they could be twins. But anyway back to the subject David say's he love what he does, and can not wait for the years to come. Alec John Such Alec is the former bass guitarist for Bon Jovi. There is not much to find about him. He was born November 14, 1951 (age 56), in Yonkers, New York, but was raised in New Jersey. Alec was dismissed from the band in 1994, because he got in an accident, and the doctor told him he would never play again. Jon noticed that he wasn't playing good, so one night, he invited Alec over to his house to tell him that maybe it was time for him to retire. Then alec got mad, and went to the press, and told them that Jon Bon Jovi kicked him out of the band. The band thinks that it is a shame that they don't see Alec anymore. Alec was never officially replaced, but Hugh McDonald took his spot even though he is not in any of the band's pictures. by: Bethanie Gunter David Bryan Rashbaum(David Bryan) Bon Jovi Bon Jovi is an american rock band made up of 5 guys from New Jersey. They have been together since 1983. Members of the band consists of Jon Bon Jovi(lead singer), Richie Sambora(lead guitar), David Bryan(lead keyboardist), and Tico Torres(drummer). The bands member line up has mostly been the same ecept for the dismissal of Alec John Such(Bass Guitarist) in 1994, who was unofficially replaced by Hugh McDonald. Bon Jovi has created many hit songs that you may find familiar. These songs include: "Livin' on a Prayer, You Give Love a Bad Name, Wanted Dead or Alive, Bad Medicine, I'll be There For You, Bed of Roses, Who Says You Can't go Home, It's My Life, and so much more." the popularity was not always like this, these guys went to school, and had dreams just like we do. Jon, Richie, and David were all in bands before Bon Jovi ever came about. Jon and David were in the same band, and the same school, and they were great buds. On the other hand Richie was the lead singer of the band he was a part of, and they were becoming really popular around the area. Jon wrote many songs. His dad says that you would walk in his room, and you would see songs all over his bedroom wallpaper. One day, Jon wrote a song called runaway. His band played runaway, and a man from a record label company really liked it. the man put Jon's song on the radio, and it became popular. This made Jon go frantic trying to put together a band. This is how Bon jovi all started. They were going a long way under the managment of Doc McGee. They were living the dream, but things have not always been perfect. Albertville High School's 2012
Marching Aggie Band show. Bon Jovi The Bon Jovi band took a long break from each other, because they were tired of each other. They wanted to get home to their families, but there was more to it than this. they were not just tired of each other, but they were mad at each other too. Before the band split, they had an interview together. they wouldn't sit next to ech other, even Jon and Richie wouldn't speak to each other. everyone thought that thay was it, that the band broke up, that that was the end of bon jovi, but they were wrong. One day after Jon had finished his first solo album, he relized how much he missed performing with the band, and he cut his hair, saying this will be the first change. He called the band the next day (who were also doing their own things, Richie finished his first solo album, David had his own Brodway musical, Tico became an artist, and Alec did whatever he felt like doing.) Jon told them that he was going to change, and that they should give the band a second shot. The band got back together, and still are to this day. They have been named the number 1 rock band in the world. (worlds best rock band.) Now even school bands play the awesome songs of the
Bon Jovi band.
