Reading &
Comprehension
Your coach will read the first paragraph about Finding Nemo, then get in couples and practice reading, remember to use the stars!
At the beginning Marlin
lost
his wife and his future kids because a big fish
ate
them. He
was
alone, but suddenly he
found
one egg that was not eaten, who he later
named
Nemo.
Nemo
was born
with a problem so he
could not swim
as fast as the other fish. Marlin
was
over protective, he
did not want
Nemo to go out, but Nemo
wanted
to be normal and go to school with other kids. One day Nemo finally
convinced
his father to let him go to school, but they argued, Nemo
swam
close to a boat and
was captured
by a scuba diver.
Marlin
was frightened
and
started
to look for Nemo everywhere following the boat, suddenly he
stumbled
with Dory, a
distracted
and lost fish. Dory
offered
Marlin to help him look for Nemo in the big ocean, they
had
many adventures together, they
were swallowed
by a whale, also, they
met
3 sharks and
befriended
them, in addition, they
met
a group of turtles that
lived
for 100 years. Meanwhile Nemo
made
some friends in a fish tank and
tried
to escape because a little girl
named
Darla would shake him and kill him!
Nemo
managed
to escape from the fish tank and
reunited

with Marlin, they

went
back to their reef and both
changed
their life routines, Marlin
became
funnier and social, and Nemo more confident. Dory
did not change
, she
was
still distracted.

1) What happened to Marlin's wife and kids?

2) Why was Marlin overprotective with Nemo?

3) How did Nemo get lost?

4) Which animals did Marlin meet?

5) What happened at the end of the story?
?
