Transcript of Humpback Whales

Humpback Whales Humpback whales grow to be about 52 feet and weighing 30-50 tons. Humpbacks are acrobats of the ocean, breaching and slapping the water. Humpbacks feed on krill, plankton and small fish. They are gulpers, not skimmers. Humpbacks travel in large, loose groups. Most associations between humpbacks are temporary, lasting only a few days. The only acception being the bonds between mother and calves. Weight and Size: Mating and Packs what the sounds mean Humpback whales are known for their magical songs, which travel great distances through our oceans. These moans, cries, howls, and other noises are quite complex and can go on for many hours on end.
