It is the fifth installment in The Elder Scrolls action role-playing video game series, following The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
Skyrim was released on November 11, 2011 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. What is it? But, what is Skyrim? Skyrim's main story develops around the player character's efforts to defeat Alduin, a Dragon who is prophesied to destroy the world. Set two hundred years after Oblivion, the game takes place in the fictional province of Skyrim, upon the continent of Tamriel, and the planet of Nirn. Who am I in Skyrim? The game wants the player to create his own story and that's why it doesn't tell much about the character.
The only certain thing is that you are the Dragonborn. A Dragonborn (transliterated from to Dovahkiin in the Dragon language) is a rare individual who has been born with the blood and soul of a Dragon, but the body of a mortal. Unusual game What can you do in Skyrim?
Buy a house in 5 different cities;
Shout in the Dragons' language;
Kill dragons (or be eaten by them);
Be (almost) anything that you want;
Clear more than 150 different dungeons;
Complete all 244* quests;
Listen to a Guard saying: "I used to be an adventurer like you. Then I took an arrow in the knee";
Become a Werewolf or a Vampire;
Join a faction (6 on total);

According to Steam data, the average number of hours that a gamer plays Skyrim exceeds 75 hours.
The game is the fastest selling title in Steam's history.
In the first 24 hours of its release on Steam, Skyrim set a record with over 280,000 concurrent players.
The game has received over 200 perfect review scores worldwide.
