Katherine wants to investigate if the time of day a plant is watered affects the growth of the plant. She hypothesizes that a plant watered in the morning will grow faster than a plant watered at other times of the day.
1 .Identify the specific independent and dependent variables that will be involved in an experiment to test this hypothesis.
2.List at least five variables that should be controlled during the experiment. For each variable identified, give a specific suggestion for how it can be controlled during the experiment.

Purpose- I want to find out which dish washer soap cleans best.
Best dish washer soap
Hypothesis- I'll have to guess which soap will do the best.
Analysis- I will create a chart that shows the amount of time I have used the soap and how efficient it is.
The dependent variable would be the speed in which the plant grows.
The independent variable is at what time the plant is watered .
Must have the same exact plant no mix of plants.
The amount of water is very important. So make sure to measure the water.
A plant lay out or set up is controlled.
Use the same soil for all the plants.
The amount of room set for the plants growth.
Research- I will have to look for info that tells me what the best dish washer soap is.
Experiment- I'll be doing the experiment by running my dish washer three times for each soap.
Conclusion- I'll review all the data and see which dish washer soap works the best.
