Kids in kindergarten - first grade get sick a lot because they don’t know exactly how to take care of themselves when they are around other kids. I foresee that kids at Lakeside Primary in 2050 are especially going to have this problem. Then when kids are sick they don’t always tell you because they want to stay with their friends. This leads to getting their friends sick too.

FAQs

Q: What types of careers are the students of 2050 preparing for?
A: The types of careers they will be preparing for are all going to be computer based no matter what field you go into. I think there are going to be mostly the same careers as we have today.
Q: What sort’s issues do you think will be most important to the student?
A: I think that most students will worry most about impressing other students to get approval of their fashion, strength, or etc.

Solution
I have created an
innovative
,
user friendly
bracelet that has a built in thermometer that tells if the kid has a fever so the device can alert the teacher. The nurse will get an alert that the kid is coming so the teacher won’t have to write out a slip and interrupt the lesson. I
foresee
that the teachers and nurses will have a better way of communication than a slip of paper. The
design
is very simple and comfortable to wear. this device is going to help kids from getting sick as much.

Q: What five adjectives would best describe your design?
A: Useful, colorful, small, fashionable, and healthier.
Q: What makes your design innovative?
A: What makes my design innovative is that the kid doesn’t have to tell the teacher because the teacher knows and sends them to the nurse. Also the nurse knows that they are coming before they even get there. So the process of getting them home as fast as possible is achieved.
Q: What was the inspiration for your design?
A: My inspiration came from me caring for little kids safety and health because I love having fun and working with little kids. I also know what it is like to be sick it is no fun at all.
