“Our mission is to provide Autism Service Dogs and related services, including community outreach and education, service dog awareness, informational training, social skills classes and innovative transitional job skills to youth and young adults who demonstrate autism spectrum behaviors. Our vision is for those with spectrum behaviors to have access to specifically trained autism service and/or therapy dogs to assist with their peer interaction, improve social integration in their schools and communities and provide the opportunity for these young adults to learn and train for a career in the dog training community.”
Raising awareness
Raising money for families in Warrensburg who
are in need of a service dog

Initial event was a scavenger hunt
Realized that there were conflicts with planning a scavenger hunt
Planned a pumpkin decorating event

Have 10 - 15 groups
Sell 20 t-shirts

Have 2.5 weeks to sell shirts
Tessa Delap - creating designs and organizing registration and t-shirt orders
Eric Melgar - primary point connection between U.S.H.A.
Dustin Bennett - coordinating and planning the event
Elizabeth Leath - tracking the finance and profits from the event
Warren Owens - distributed flyers and helped with recruitment
United Student Housing Association - U.S.H.A.
Covered expenses
Didn't have to deduct expenses from profits
Handed out flyers and posted them around the dorms on campus
Online registration
Sold 36 shirts
Registered 14 groups
Raised a total of $322.32
Having the event inside
Promoting the event sooner and preferably longer
Have different ways of promoting the event
Brought awareness to the organization
Future events
Money raised will go towards the families in Warrensburg who need a service dog
Group members participated in other events
Help promote other teams events
Worked with Team 8 to prepare the final presentation
