HOW IT ALL TIES TO HISTORY
So far i have just been stating facts but this all ties together. Without Henrietta lacks and HELA Cells many of the medical advancements made ( polio vaccine, chemotherapy, gene mapping etc.) wouldn't have been made. We needed her cells in order to be as advanced as we are in medicine today. Even though racism still exists in America, we have made amazing progress in stopping slavery and segregation. Without the people who helped stop segregation we wouldn't be sitting in the same classroom or even going to the same school. Without history and the choices we have made throughout history we wouldn't be where we are today.
