"I don't care what they call me," he said confidently, "so long as they don't call me what they used to call me at school."

Ralph was faintly interested.

"What was that?"

The fat boy glances over his shoulder, then leaned toward Ralph.

"They used to call me 'Piggy'."

Mostly described to be fat, short, and wears glasses so far, his nickname mostly making fun of his physical look.

Contributed his glasses to make a fire, though it was against his will and it was Jack's idea to use the glasses to start a fire.

"His specs- use them as burning glasses!" ~Chapter 2
"We can use this to call the others. Have a meeting. They'll come when they hear us-"
He beamed at Ralph.
"That was what you meant, didn't you? That's why you got the conch out of the water?" ~Chapter 1
"That little' un that had a mark on his face- where is- he now? I tell you I don't see him"
The boys looked at each other fearfully,unbelieving.
"-where is he now?" ~Chapter 2
