The Fastest computer in the world Computers By Thomas Schultz Transistors replaced the vacuum tubes because it produces less heat, IBM 350 RAMAC was add to the systems Changes in cost/part/speed Types of Computer/Fast facts Some types of computes are Personal computers (PC) witch is made for only one person to use, Desktops which are a type of personal computer, and typically costs less than laptops, Notebooks also known as laptops are normally thicker than the average hard cover book. the netbook typically cost 300 to 500 dollars. Computer programs learn to adapt. The cray-1 supercomputer has 6 miles of wire in it but no segment longer than 3 feet. Seymour Cray father of supercomputing was a quiet man from Wisconsin. Some Major computer companies Some Major computer companies are:
Dell, Microsoft, Intel, and Apple. h h History In 1936 computers were programmable, next in 1951 the first commercial computers was made, and in 1962 first computer game was made. Famous computer
Inventors Some Famous computer inventors are: Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, John Amiss, and Conrad Zuse pi bibliography Quantum computers Quantum computers is a
computation device that make
direct use of quantum physics
such as superposition. There
are a number of Quantum computing
models.
A computer scientist at Amherst
college has done a head to head
speed test between PC and a Quantum

Dell traces its origins to 1984 when Micheal Dell creates a PCs limited while a student of the university of Texas at Austin. Microsoft was started by Bill Gate and Paul Allen who were childhood friends with a passion for computer programing. Intel was originally founded
in Mountain View, California in 1968 by Gordon E. Moore Last November the Oak Ridge National Laboratory's Titans Supercomputer was named the fastest computer in the world
but it missed a few tests and now there there is too much
gold on its motherboards so it can't function at full capacity Cray 2 supercomputer http://farm2.staticflickr.com/1100/774443499_c13cf1fca7.jpg Bellis, Mary. "The History of Computers - Computer History Timeline." The History of Computers - Computer History Timeline. N.p., n.d. Web. 09 Apr. 2013.
