Shad Valley Values A Day At Shad... Wake up and travel from Tibbits to McConnell for breakfast 7:30-8:30 8:45-10:00
Fitness! Anything from soccer baseball to ballet and everything from yoga to childhood games! Shad recognizes the importance of a healthy life style and a balance of work and play. 10:00-10:30 Shad News, Journal Time, and General Announcements 10:30-12:00 First Lecture Of The Day (which could be on anything from ethics to synthetic drug design to how to write a buisness plan) 12:00 - Noon Lunch (usually McConnell Hall, but sometimes BBQ!) Noon - 4:00 Labs (long pants required) Including but not limited to: Physics, Analytical Chemistry, Math and the Stock Market, Forensic Biology, Geology, Geodesy and Geomatics, Biomedical Engineering 4:00 - 5:00 Shad Time time to socialize, do laundry, write blogs, make posters for open day, call home, practice solving your Rubik's Cube etc. 5:00 - 6:00 The Best Camping Dinner (normally we just ate at the caf) 6:00 - 8:00 Another Lecture 8:00 - 9:30 CT Time 9:30 - 11:00 Late Nights (themed talent shows) 11:00 - 12:00 Quiet Time and Lights Out Variations in the Schedual Camping

Step 1: Brainstorm problems on your own
Step 2: Select best ideas as a group
Step 3: Form CT groups to tackle each selected problem
Step 4: Brainstorm solutions and present best idea
Step 5: Develop product or service, the company that offers it,
a buisness plan and marketing plan, promotional
materials, prototype etc.
Step 6: Remember to record everything in the log book
Step 7: Hand in all project materials before the deadline
Step 8: Prepare 10 minute long pitch and present to Shad staff
Step 9: Dress up in buisness clothes and present to the judges
Step 10: Decide as a group which project goes to the Shad
