The discovery of America was very important for the economy because people imported 2 important raw materials: Gold and silver.
The production of coins in Europe was an important economic transformation. The coins were a new and easier form to trade.

Blaise Pascal was a mathematician and physicist His contributions to mathematics and natural sciences were very important.

He invented the adding machine,that could be the grandpa of the calculator.

THE GOLDEN AGE:
The golden Age was a period divided into 2 parts:The Renaissance (1492-1616) and the Baroque(1616-1681).

There were some important painters like Miguel Angel,that was one of the most complete artists of the Renaissance,and Leonardo Da Vinci,that painted a famous painting called The Gioconda.

There were 3 periods in monarchy:The Catholic kings,the Habsburg dynasty and the Borbon dynasty.
After they conquered the last part of Spain conquered by the Muslims,the Pope called them The Catholic kings.(Or the Reyes Católicos in spanish.)
THE HABSBURG DYNASTY
In this period,Spain became a great empire,but then,there were very wars and conflicts.
The kings of this dynasty were:
Charles I,Phillip II,Phillip III,Phillip IV and Charles II.
And the Borbon dynasty came with the WAR OF SUCCESSION.
Giovanni was an engineer of the 17th century who invented the first steam turbine engine. The steam turbine
transfers the energy to drive a machine.
