Transcript of things in real life that works like cells
that works like cells
The cell membrane is a biological membrane that separates the interior of all cells from the outside environment.(It is also known as the plasma membrane or cytoplasmic membrane)
The function of the nucleus is to maintain the integrity of these genes and to control the activities of the cell by regulating gene expression — the nucleus is, therefore, the control center of the cell.
thanks for watching hope you enjoyed!
what is a cell?
The cell is the basic structural, functional and biological unit of all known living organisms. Cells are the smallest unit of life that is classified as a living thing, and are often called the "building blocks of life.
human and animal cell
Egg cellophane membrane because it allows only certain molecules to pass thorough it.
The City Hall, It has information about the jobs, plumbing etc. It has control over what is going on.
The Golgi sorts, packages and sends proteins that are made by the endoplasmic reticulum.
A post office because the post office processes mails and sorts them to where they need to go before sending it out to the designated destination and the Golgi body is also involved in processing and packaging proteins, and eventually sending them out.
Powerade, like mitochondrions, generates energy to be active. Powerade powers up people to improve their athletic performance. Mitochondrions gives the cell energy to make actions possible.
The main function of the mitochondria is to produce energy for various parts of the body. It also helps in the building of certain parts of the blood and hormones like testosterone and the estrogens.
The main function of the smooth ER is to help in the metabolic processes. It also normalizes the transportation of proteins to their appropriate locations.
A butter churn is like a smooth ER it creates lipids which could be fat, oils, or waxes. Butter churns create butter. In another comparison, if talking about animals, butter churns breaks down cream and creates another substance.
Lysosomes contain powerful digestive enzymes that digest excess or worn-out organelles, food particles and engulfed bacteria or viruses.

Cytoskeleton provides support and shape to the cell and anchors the organelles in place. It also helps in the movement of materials in and out of the cells.
a building frame, because it supports and mantains the shape of the building.
A garbage can because it also engulf all the harmful components for the cell.
The function of the cytoplasm is to provide support to the internal structures of a cell by being a medium for their suspension. As such, it helps to maintain the shape and consistency of the cell.
Like cytoplasm, soil holds things in place. It's a base for living things. Soil is a base for a living plant with its roots, stem, and leaves. A cytoplasm is a base for living organelles.
The vacuole isolates substances that might be harmful to the cell and maintains an acidic internal pH. It also helps maintain turgor pressure within the cell as well as exports unwanted substances from a cell.
Vapur (an inflatable water bottle) expands like
a vacuole when filled with water
nutrients.Vapur is helpful in holding water for athletes in order for them to keep running.A vacuole holds water and nutrients for cellsin order for them to keep running.
Centrioles are paired cylindrical organelles located near the nucleus. They play an important role in the cell division. They separate during cell division and form mitotic spindle.
real- life reflection
A centriole could be like a truck with a tow cable attached. The centriole is the truck, the spindle fibers are the cables. You attach the cable to a metal beam in a pile, then retract the cable to pull the beam to the truck. It's like how in the cell the centriole sends out the spindle fiber which attaches to the chromosome then retracts to pull it to the centriole.
