Transcript of H. G. Wells

H. G. Wells
Herbert George Wells was born on 21 September 1866 in Bromley, England. When he was young his parents were worried by his poor health. They were worried that he would die young like his sister. When he was 7 he got into an accident that made him bedridden for several months. He read many books by many authors such as Washington Irvin and Charles Dickens.

After his dads shop failed they had no money. His two brothers went to work as a drapers apprentice. In his early teens he too became an apprentice but hated it so he quit much to his mothers dismay. He started teaching ad continued his own studies too. He earned a scholarship to the Normal School of Science where he learned about physics ,chemistry, astronomy, and biology among other subjects.
Success At Last
Wells became an overnight sensation with his publication of
The Time Machine.
Wells continued to write and wrote many books like:
The Island of Doctor Moreau
- The War of the Worlds
- The Invisible Man
The Time Machine
In my opinion I think that you would not want to read this book if you are 10 under because it does i include violence and some deaths. Otherwise it is a very good book has action humor and adventure. It shows what would happen in the future and it shows how mankind can grow.
