1200 b.c. and 5000 b.c.Paleo Indians:moved into the peninsula for food sources, etsablished first settlement
3 large Florida cultures:Timucua, Apalachee, Calusa
1540's:Europeans destroy 90% of native people
1565: Eurapean establish 1st european settlement,ST. Augustine
1821, Florida becomes U.S territory
Harriet Tubman Freed slaves in the south of Florida
1845: Became the 27th state
Georgia:
1721: The british built fort king George settlement
1741 Trustees divided Georgia in 2 counties:Savannah and Fredricka
1742:Battle of the bloody marsh war between spanish and English
1788: Became 4Th U.S state
1835:Seminole indians ambush U.S troops
1868: Atlanta became the capitol
1881: Hurricane hit the coast and killed 700 people

- Hurricane Adrew hit south Florida affected South Miami dade, Broward, Palm Beach, kendall and Florida city. There were many sinkholes that "ate" cars, houses, and people.
50 years ago
-Segregation laws were still around in some counties. Beatlemania invaded Florida. Life might have been tough with the war with Russia
100 years ago
- Many families lived within one household. Children usually lived with parents till their 21. Most women were teachers. There were many cole factaries. A hurricane hit the Florida Key West that killed 800 people.
Georgia:
25 years ago
- Not many families had technology for everyone usually just had a house phone. Farming was around, machines were used to help some then.
50 years ago
- Segregation laws still existed. Farming was a main job for children raised in these families.
100 years ago
- Farming was an important job for people. As well as Florida children lived win a household with many families and stayed with their parents usually till the 21.
