Bare-Noize Headphones Alex, Hannah, Jose, Josh, Laura Advertisement Social Responsibility Bare-Noize is committed to the environment around us. Using recycled plastic to make the structure of the headphones was just another bright idea we had as a company. The idea fit in perfect with our already environmentally aware Solar Powered Headphones. Which greatly reduce the energy that is used with other rechargeable headphones. About Us And why you should invest market responsibly; treat people fairly; respect the free market; compete fairy; respect the environment; deal honesty with the government; keep honest books and records; never trade on inside information Code of Ethics Bare-Noize is innovative; and is a new product that isn't out on the popular market right now Mission Statement It is Bare-Noize's mission to dramatically enhance the headphone use for all music lovers, through functional innovation that will set us apart from the competition. Vision Statement Innovation is the main focus of Bare-Noize. We hope to have a product as well as a company that is known in every household as being reliable, and is focused on the wants and needs of the consumer. Bare-Noize is an LLC due to No Double Taxation Limited Liability Easier Paperwork Health Insurance & Simplified Record Keeping Bare-Noize is based in Houston, Texas at 7171 Southwest Parkway. Benefits to having a LLC in Texas include Management Flexibility. Texas corporations are only required to list one Director position in the articles of incorporation. There are no residency requirements for the director, though he or she must be at least 18 years of age The Managing Member of an LLC can deduct 100% of the health insurance premiums he or she pays, up to the extent of their pro-rata share of the LLC's net profit, because the profit is considered earned income. Note: If a member has earned income, he or she will also qualify Credibility. Having the “LLC” after your company’s name will go a long way towards establishing it as a credible company, or enhancing its current credibility, and would be an excellent way to attract potential investors looking for opportunities aligned with good organization and limited liability A Texas LLC allows for “multi-tiered” ownership wherein an S or C corporation can be a member (bearing in mind that S Corporations are not recognized in Texas) with no residency restrictions--this can allow for substantial tax benefits, and increased liability protection Tax Advantages. Texas Franchise tax is computed at the rate of .25% of net taxable capital and 4.5% of net taxable earned surplus. If the amount computed under either part of the basis formula is zero or less, the tax is zero Competition Bare-Noize's main competition are companies that are well recognized such as Beats Audio and Sony. which already offer rechargeable headphones. But that come with a stand rather than being solar powered such as ours Levi Dill Jose Flores Alex Kent Hannah James Laura Sarria Josh Parr Information Resources Manufacturing
Managers Manufactuers Head of Board of Directors CEO VP Finance VP Marketing, Designer, Engineer VP Sales VP Human Resources Organization Chart The target market would range between the ages of 12-32 with higher levels of disposable income; due to the higher price of the Bare-Noize headphones, this will help qualify a variety of ages to purchase this top quality sound product. Features of Bare-Noize solar powered headphones stand out in comparison to others due to key elements; the Bare-Noize headphones have a great sound quality, and combine comfort with a sleek style and design, all while being able to charge ones phone or MP3 device. This is achieved by removing the bulk of having a battery extension pack, by putting it into the headphones themselves, as a sleek solar headband design. The Market The Pricing The pricing strategy that will be used is skim pricing. “[Bare-Noize] will set a higher initial price due to the Bare-Noize headphones being a uniquely differentiated technical product. The objective is to obtain maximum revenue from the market before substitutes products appear. Once this is accomplished [Bare-Noize] will lower the price drastically to capture the low-end buyers and to thwart the copycat competitors” (Business). The flow production will be used in our company due to its ability to eliminate waste and minimize costs. As well as being timely, with little physical handling of the product which will lead to lower labor costs and easy control. The break even analysis is that Bare-Noize’s initial startup costs would be around $102,000 with it costing $15 to make a pair of headphones (the extra expense is due to the solar panel), and we will sell it at $280, only $10 more than our top competitor Beats Audio. Which makes our monthly breakeven for each month in the first year 385 units. The Break-Even The main advertising media of choice would be magazines, which have a target audience similar to our own, and because magazines tend to have a good production quality, plus it gives a sense of credibility and authority. Due to the higher expense this would be used once the company has gained some revenue. Product placement would be a good way to expand the product further such as in a music video, which is something you see fairly often. Many times you can offer a free product as an exchange for the placement, for example to a professional athlete orcelebrity. Fixed web would be another good one, due to the surplus of music and ‘techie’ websites, most if which also have a mobile app so it could easily expand to mobile web as well. 12-Month Income Statement (Profit & Loss Statement) 2013
