  1. Hi there.
  2. My name is Brene IDs, and I am vice president
  3. of Sales at Discover Lehigh Valley.
  4. And today I'm going to introduce introduce you to a
  5. cool initiative that we started in our department not too
  6. long ago.
  7. But first, I think it's important for you to know
  8. where the Lehigh Valley is.
  9. We are located just about 90 minutes west of New
  10. York City, and we're comprised of Allentown, Bethlehem and Eastern,
  11. and we're about an hour north of Philadelphia.
  12. And we really like to say that the Lehigh Valley
  13. is within a day's drive of about 40% of the
  14. US population.
  15. And now, if you're not driving, you can always fly
  16. into the Lehigh Valley.
  17. We do have the Lehigh Valley International Air Sport here
  18. that is easily accessible as well.
  19. So we started virtual itinerary, so really target meeting planners
  20. and event organizers and welcome them into the Lehigh Valley
  21. without them having to physically be here.
  22. So I kind of wanna walk you through that process.
  23. Now, any meeting planner, when they start sourcing for a
  24. location, they need to know that venues exists.
  25. So within our virtual itineraries, we've highlighted some of our
  26. unique, then used and distinct meeting spaces that really make
  27. for a different experience for your attendees.
  28. So whether you want Teoh set your event in front
  29. of history, we have that with the steal stacks, which
  30. are blast furnaces that they took, um, raw material and
  31. and created steel with.
  32. So we're Big Bethlehem Steel Manufacturer year so you can
  33. have your event set in front of history.
  34. You can be out at a baseball park and how
  35. the unique experience there at the Coca Cola Park or
  36. you could be at one of our theatres or museums.
  37. So these itineraries really highlight some of these unique spaces.
  38. Now, of course, when when you get your venue books,
  39. you have to know that there are hotels in the
  40. area and we do have hotels here that have meeting
  41. space attached to you can have that experience of having
  42. your entire meeting under one roof without leaving the property.
  43. So whether you'd like your resort casino property if you're
  44. looking for a ski resort, we have sat with meeting
  45. space and everything in between your historic hotels, and we
  46. really do believe that we have the property that can
  47. really host any group in any budget.
  48. So another fun thing to know about the area is
  49. a lot of parking.
  50. That majority of our properties is free, so that's a
  51. nice part.
  52. So we have about 6000 hotel rooms in our market
  53. and we are growing.
  54. So there's some some exciting things coming down the pipeline
  55. there. So one question that we've continuously gone over time
  56. is you know, I want a book, my event.
  57. But I don't want my attending stuck in the conference
  58. room or the border, and they need to do to
  59. do something unique, something they can't do anywhere else.
  60. So whether it's team building or you're truly just trying
  61. to promote a unique experience during your event, the Lehigh
  62. Valley has that were home to Martin guitar.
  63. There you can see the guitar.
  64. There in the corner, we have Dorney Park and Wild
  65. Water Kingdom for those thrill seekers.
  66. Of course, we have the breweries.
  67. The whiner is the distilleries are libations.
  68. Scene is, ah, runs quite rampant.
  69. Here were also home to Crayola and the Crayola experience,
  70. and we have a unique sporting of that opportunity.

  72. hosts Olympic hopefuls that are doing track cycling in hopes
  73. of going to the Ellipse fix.
