  1. Good evening Dr.
  2. Williams I'm presenting to you.
  3. My test results from the I-80 tests on sexuality and
  4. on race.
  5. I don't know if you can see the first time
  6. I'm making a prezi video.
  7. Mhm. So for my test results on sexuality, I received
  8. a suggested moderate automatic preference for straight people over gay
  9. people. This kind of surprised me because my boss is
  10. gay. Um he does not discuss, it, doesn't talk about
  11. it doesn't admit it.
  12. Um he comes kind of close with me and worked
  13. for him for 18 years and I've known this whole
  14. time, I have no preference.
  15. Um As long as people treat me fairly, I could
  16. care less.
  17. I feel like I have always have so much going
  18. on in my own life with myself, my immediate family
  19. um that I don't have time to judge anyone else.
  20. I don't care to judge anyone else.
  21. So I'm kind of surprised at this.
  22. I think that the um result may have been because
  23. I was trying to go through quickly as suggested.
  24. Um and I got more errors on this test than
  25. I did on any other, but I don't come that
  26. I know of um come across that many people who
  27. are gay and the ones that I do have interaction
  28. with are great, so not quite sure where this is
  29. coming from.
  30. Um I think if we were to hire people who
  31. are gay, transgender would be great, great addition to the
  32. municipality and it would be just the diversity that we
  33. need. Um we do have a gay man that comes
  34. to deliver printing products, and um I think I'm the
  35. only person in the building that's friendly to him, the
  36. other mostly white ladies say that he comes across as
  37. pushy. My second test was on race.
  38. And um my responses suggest no preference between black and
  39. white people.
  40. And I could say this is the God's honest truth.
  41. Um I do not judge or assume um, that there
  42. will be a preference or more like ability or an
  43. easier time with white or black people.
  44. People are people.
  45. Um it's not to say that there aren't some black
  46. people that do, you are more kind and do sure
  47. more preference towards you or me.
  48. Um but I've also found that I've made mistakes, errors
  49. in judgment or I've trusted black people to help me
  50. or be kinder to me and that's not the case.
  51. So I just judged that the same.
  52. I've also had instances where I'm not as accepted by
  53. black people, especially black women, because of the way that
  54. I talk and I present myself.
  55. Um I've often been accused of trying to act outside
  56. of my race.
  57. So um based on my presentation from last week, there
  58. are very few that I trust.
  59. I trust your loyalty and character by far more than
  60. your color.
  61. Um, but I have been known to uh talk with
  62. my black friends and say, well, you know how white
  63. people are, you just can't trust them, but I'll always
  64. add to that and you can't dress the black ones
  65. either. So, um dr Williams, thank you for your comments
  66. last week.
  67. I appreciate your response, and I I'm glad that you
  68. got where I was coming from.
  69. Um, I still struggle with all of that today, um,
  70. and based on the troubled my father's troubled history and
  71. mystery with PTSD, I've had a very challenging upbringing, So
  72. thank you for your time and I hope you have
  73. a good evening.
