Friday Announcement - February 5, 2021

Hi, guys.

Welcome to our Friday announcements.

Today's February 5th 2021.

Got a couple of things.

I want to go over with you as you head

into your weekend.

First and foremost, if you still have not taken that

star test, you probably got a bunch of emails from

me this week.

Please make sure that you take it.

I really need that data from you.

Um, I scheduled sessions Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday next

week at three o'clock.

If three o'clock does not work for you, please let

me know.

I am happy to schedule a time that does work

for you.

I'm aware that some of us work during the week.

Um and so I want this test data, and I

wanna work with you so that I could get it.

Secondly, if you know that you took two minutes to

take this test and the information that I have on

you is not accurate and you do not want to

be invited to additional class connect sessions and you would

like to retest to show me what you actually know.

Please email me and let me know.

I want accurate data.

I want good data.

So let me know if you need to retest next

up. These people, these wonderful people, grew on their star

test from the beginning of the year to the middle

of the year.

So that is fantastic.

Not only did they grow, but they grew an entire,

uh, the green entire category.

So that's fantastic.

That's a really good job.

They jumped up lots and lots of points.

So amazing job for these people.

Andi. I hope that they're proud of themselves because they

sure should be next up.

We are rounding out Unit one at the middle of

the week.

This week you started unit, too.

So please make it your top priority to be wrapping

up that unit one work.

If you have anything missing, get it done.

I put in way too many zeros for the unit

tests and way too many zeros without writing assignment.

You are struggling with the argue for a cause assignment.

Please let me know.

Have some resources that will help you out.

Get all that done.

If you have any questions or concerns, please send me

an email.

Keep in mind that you have three chances on those

quizzes, so you should be taking your time in between

each of those attempts.

If you need to take multiple attempts to go back

and review the information, it's not going to do you

any good to take them three times in a row

without going back.

I'm looking at the information they want you to quiz

over if you need a refresher inthe e content section

under something called Skills.

Resource is, I've posted some additional slide shows that should

be able to help you out with the information on

that quizzes on those quizzes.

If you're still struggling, you also have two chances on

the test.

If you completely bombed the first time, go back, re

read the text, re read the information.

You'll know generally what's going to be on the test.

You'll get different questions, but you know generally what's going

to be on it and then please email me with

any issues that you might come across.

Remember that I'm note this, too, and sometimes it's just

a button click away from me fixing the problem.

So if you get denied your chance to take the

test the second time, or something like that happens, shoot

me an email and I will fix it as soon

as I possibly can.

Next up is something exciting?

Um, so starting today, I would love to start rewarding

people who come to class and people who participate in

class, um, by doing a drawing.

So this week's a little bit different from how it's

gonna be in the future s O.

These rules don't apply for today's drying, but in the

future, um, I'm going to take the top Fantastic five

from each of my sections.

So my top 20 basically, um, people who are participating

people who are coming to all their class connect sessions,

people who are submitting their work on time.

I'm going to take the five people from each sections

with the most points, and I'm gonna enter them into

a drawing.

One person is gonna win every week, and winners get

a choice between five extra bonus points or ah, free

drop for one of your quizzes.

Um, the winner is always going to be announced inthe

e Friday announcements, so make sure you keep an eye

out for that, and the winner has until Thursday the

following week to email me to let me know which

prize they'd like to receive.

This week, I randomly selected these five people to be

our winners.

Um, So again, if you were one of these five

people, congratulations.

You won.

Everybody was entered this week, but you guys were the

winners. Um, please send me an email by Thursday next

week. That would be Thursday, the 11th, And let me

know if you would like five bonus points or if

you would like to drop a quiz in which quiz

you'd like to drop and finally looking ahead, next week

is a pretty busy week for us.

Um, you have two quizzes, 2.5 and 2.7 And you

also are getting a writing assignment.

I think that writing assignment is going to be given

to you on Wednesday.

However, hold off on starting it until we have a

chance to talk about it in class.

Either Wednesday or Thursday.

I'm going to give you a bunch of resource is

I'm gonna interpret the instructions for you.

I'm gonna give you everything that you need in order

to be successful.

So, um, please just make sure that if you can't

make it to class connect on Wednesday or Thursday that

you do watch the video and you do grab those

resource is out of the content section.

Um and then that writing assignment is not gonna be

due until the following week.

On Tuesday the 16th, um, Tuesday the 16th is the

end of unit to unit two is a really short

unit on DSO when you the day that you take

your unit test is the day that you're going to,

um, submit your writing assignment?

Uh huh.

And that's all.

I'm not always the best about answering my email over

the weekend, but I will get back to you bright

and early on Monday morning and, as always, have a
