  1. Hi, everyone,
  2. Thank you very much for hopping on the call today. My name's Ben.
  3. I'm one of the senior partners here, and I'm
  4. the one overseeing this initial part of your guys' interview process here today.
  5. And first and foremost,
  6. I want to say a massive congratulations to every single one of
  7. you guys who's been shortlisted to be on the call today.
  8. It's been nothing shy of a very competitive process so far,
  9. even at this very early stage,
  10. purely down to the volume of candidates that we've had
  11. apply for the roles that we're looking to fill.
  12. So we've been doing our best to shortlist
  13. those candidates down to a more selective group,
  14. either
  15. based on your CV or based on the conversations you've had with our HR department,
  16. either Monica or Samita,
  17. who I'm sure you guys have spoken to in some capacity already.
  18. Now, based on those conversations and based on your guys' experiences,
  19. we're sitting with that small group today, So congratulations once again.
  20. Now,
  21. the reason why we're doing this one way style
  22. webinar rather than the more traditional conversation into,
  23. is because for the first stage of the process,
  24. what we want to do is get across some key information to
  25. you guys about what it is we do here at the company.
  26. So we're gonna be delving into a little bit more detail about the clients
  27. about the contracts attached to those clients as well.
  28. And the campaigns we represent those clients through
  29. as well as that.
  30. We're going to delve into a bit more detail about
  31. the the roles that we're looking to build here,
  32. the hours attached to those roles and the payments attached to those roles,
  33. and also the opportunity in terms of
  34. progression for candidates such as yourselves.
  35. So there's a lot to be able to cover
  36. now.
  37. You may also be wondering why we're doing this one way style webinar,
  38. as opposed to the traditional zoom meeting where we have all the cameras on
  39. and plain. This simply guys.
  40. What we want you guys to do is focus
  41. purely on the information that we're given across today,
  42. Um,
  43. pretty much because all that information is going to be very,
  44. very important in terms of shortlisting candidates for
  45. the second stage of the interview process.
  46. So we're going to discuss this information today
  47. in a lot more detail in the next stage
  48. and as well as that, uh, we're gonna send you guys over a questionnaire,
  49. OK? Via email shortly after this interview,
  50. where you guys are going to answer some questions based on this as well,
  51. again going to be very, very important for short in those candidates.
  52. Now I'm happy to answer any questions. Of course, guys.
  53. So if you do have any questions,
  54. just stick them in the Q and a box which will be somewhere on your screen.
  55. Uh, and then towards the end of the interview,
  56. what I'll do is I'll answer those questions personally as well.
  57. Perfect.
  58. So first and foremost, who are we
  59. in? A very simple explanation.
  60. Uh, we are a offline marketing company, OK,
  61. meaning that we're dealing with a lot of the face
  62. to face communication on behalf of our clients brands.
  63. Now, this is very different to the online style of marketing.
  64. A lot of you guys will be used to
  65. um now what online marketing provides is a broad reach.
  66. OK, it increases brand awareness. So company does have a variety of different ways.
  67. Your typical TV advertisements, your radio advertisements,
  68. uh, more traditional methods such as billboards or posters
  69. anywhere where we can reach uh, potential customers. Let's call it
  70. now,
  71. whereas what we do in offline marketing is
  72. we take that pre existing brand awareness,
  73. and we turn that into what we call physical and measurable results for our clients.
  74. Now, that's why post Pandemic.
  75. We've seen a huge surge in demand for our services
  76. because more and more clients are excited about essentially converting
  77. that awareness into revenue because of the
  78. lack of revenue received during the pandemic.
  79. Now it's not just our offline marketing, uh,
  80. services that our clients are excited about.
  81. OK,
  82. if we have to almost summarise our expertise in two words,
  83. it would be hiring and training
  84. now effectively.
  85. What that means is our ability to recruit, develop and scale teams at the pace,
  86. and the quality that we do is something that really, really excites our clients.
  87. And
  88. because of that,
  89. we've now got an extensive portfolio with
  90. different projects and clients in various sectors.
  91. So we've actually opened up our portfolio,
  92. and I'm gonna be talking a little bit about that today.
  93. So the first one we've got here, guys is BT and EE on our field sales.
  94. OK,
  95. now a lot of people think as BT and
  96. E is two separate companies within their own rights,
  97. and they were until around about 2016,
  98. when BT actually bought our E for £12.5 billion.
  99. Now that was then, and still is today the biggest telecoms merger to date,
  100. and the reason for that is because they want
  101. to become a powerhouse within that telecommunications sector.
  102. But what we're dealing with these guys is specifically the broadband sector,
  103. and that's due to something called the government full fibre roll out.
  104. So
  105. what that means is the government invested
  106. £5 billion into a company called Openreach,
  107. who effectively service and maintain
  108. pretty much all the Internet lines in the UK.
  109. Now the Internet in the UK notoriously isn't the
  110. best and hasn't been for the longest time.
  111. So the objective is the £5 million investment is going to be used between
  112. now and 2026 to ensure that every single home and business in the UK
  113. want to be on this new full fibre network.
  114. Now that's a massive project in itself, right, and it's already underway.
  115. But what that means for companies such as BT and EE
  116. and other broadband companies as well
  117. is that they're readily available to capture those new full fibre customers.
  118. So you may have seen a lot of BT advertisements lately around, um
  119. around that, and they're utilising our services to capture those new customers.
  120. So we do this through a variety of different campaigns,
  121. as this is our biggest contract to date.
  122. So residentially going directly to customers, homes commercially,
  123. going directly to customers, businesses.
  124. And we've just launched our retail channel on this side of things as well,
  125. which involves going to supermarkets such as Morrisons and
  126. ASDA.
  127. We
  128. have contracts to pop up standards in those stores, too,
  129. to get into those really detailed interactions with customers there.
  130. So it's our clients that are loving the
  131. the diversity within our campaigns that multiple,
  132. uh, multiple reach in terms of channels.
  133. We can go down
  134. now on the other side of things. We've got shell guys OK
  135. now Shell's focus at the minute is moving away
  136. from non renewable to more renewable forms of energy.
  137. I'm sure you guys know Shell as one of the biggest companies in the world,
  138. which they are
  139. so effectively shells shift from non renewable to more renewable
  140. forms of energy stems down the electric vehicle route.
  141. OK, which is a great way to sort of decrease the, uh, the co two emissions
  142. now,
  143. effectively with those current electric vehicles in the UK.
  144. There's a few problems in terms of when it comes down to, uh,
  145. charging those vehicles.
  146. Currently, consumers have two options, which is to, you know,
  147. go to a petrol station forecourt
  148. sit in the car for an hour and a half while it charges, which is very time consuming.
  149. And the ability to have a charging station installed in your home is not cheap.
  150. So what she'll want to do is because of the,
  151. um, the deadline of 2030 which is when we're going to stop manufacturing.
  152. Um, fossil fuel powered vehicles,
  153. uh, is get ahead of the curve with this electric vehicle charging stations. OK,
  154. now, in terms of how we're going to do this again through our retail channel.
  155. So Shell actually have partners with John Lewis and Waitrose, OK,
  156. they're actually under the same shell umbrella,
  157. so we actually have pop up stands
  158. in the stores as well. We're contracted to be able to do that, uh,
  159. to get into those really detailed conversations with
  160. what are technically already shell customers right
  161. now again,
  162. our clients at the minute they're loving that sort of reach
  163. that multi channel approach that we're we're able to go down.
  164. But really, what separates us from our competitors isn't our campaigns.
  165. OK, there's a very key element as
  166. to why we are suppose, having the success that we're having at the minute,
  167. and it comes down to one very key point,
  168. which is our ability to grow and scale at the pace and the quality that we do.
  169. And just to revert back to that original slide guys about the, uh,
  170. hiring and training expertise that we have.
  171. That's what really separates us right now to the point where
  172. companies like BT, EE and Shell, you know, multinational companies.
  173. They're actually not only trusting us with
  174. representing their brand in the public eye,
  175. but they're trusting us with all the on boarding, uh, and hiring
  176. process for all the new recruits as well.
  177. So as we look to be able to hire and scale those teams, of course,
  178. we also need to do is hire and train
  179. more people that can oversee and manage those teams.
  180. So what we're looking for at the minute is to fill two main positions. Um,
  181. we have our sales role and we have our partnership programme. OK,
  182. but just before we go into that, guys, um,
  183. anyone who starts with us here at elite level marketing will actually
  184. start on what we call a two week sales accelerator process.
  185. Now, I like to think this as a bit of a crash course if you were doing a driving test,
  186. for example.
  187. So it's a very intensive first two weeks designed to teach
  188. you all the skills necessary to become an excellent brand representative.
  189. So the morning times will be very focused on the hard skills,
  190. the client tech training, the IT systems,
  191. whereas the afternoon times will be more focused on the soft skills.
  192. So the
  193. appearance of confidence when it might always be there,
  194. or how to have a very detailed, uh,
  195. interaction with a customer you've never spoke to before.
  196. Now, upon graduating in those two weeks,
  197. we'll move you forward into either the sales position or the partner programme.
  198. OK, so let's get started with the sales position
  199. now for the sales executives. Ok,
  200. um, we have a 20 K,
  201. starting salary plus bonuses.
  202. Um, there's one way in which we differentiate ourselves from what we do here at,
  203. uh EGM,
  204. which is through what we call our hybrid payment structure.
  205. OK,
  206. now, effectively,
  207. what that means is some companies in our
  208. industry will give you a guaranteed base pay.
  209. So there's always that comfort blanket in there for, you know,
  210. a performance based industry.
  211. It's very, very important to have that safety net.
  212. What they'll do is they'll cut the commission,
  213. meaning that there's a certain amount you can earn per week.
  214. So there's not incentivized to go above and beyond.
  215. All will give you no base pay, no guarantee, but then they'll uncut the commission,
  216. which sees the
  217. potential increase.
  218. But what we do here at
  219. is we'll give you the guaranteed base pay every single week, no matter performance,
  220. and then also what we'll do is we will uncap the
  221. commission so your earning potential is as much as you see fit
  222. Now in relation to the sales role, it is a very fun,
  223. very vibrant and very interactive role as Well, uh, as I'm sure you guys can imagine,
  224. no, two days are ever the same when you're dealing with people face to face.
  225. So the working hours, uh, for the day itself are 9. 30 till 5. 30 Monday to Friday,
  226. Uh,
  227. the morning times where we're going to do a lot of the
  228. theoretical training as well again the hard skills as we call it.
  229. And the afternoon time is where we're going to go into the campaigns
  230. and ensure that KPIS are met and targets are driven
  231. now
  232. in terms of that role. Then,
  233. as we say, no two days are ever the same.
  234. So the objective of it is that we're going to be able
  235. to get into a stage where you're independent at what we do
  236. now for the partner programme.
  237. Then guys OK,
  238. so the partner programme is designed for candidates who
  239. have a bit more of a career focus.
  240. OK,
  241. so for anyone who is, um
  242. so for our trainee partners,
  243. we give them a lot of responsibility very early on within our programme,
  244. they'll have to be the ones who take charge of the new recruits.
  245. They'll be taking the training in the morning
  246. and then they'll be leading and conducting that field based activities in the
  247. afternoon to ensure that KPIS are met and targets are driven as well.
  248. Now as you can see that for the trainee partner,
  249. the base rate is 25,000 plus bonuses, which means, on average, um,
  250. the on track earnings are above £45,000 per year.
  251. Our junior partner is where we take a lot more of an
  252. operational focus on the day to day runnings of the office.
  253. So the HR legal finance admin and recruitment as well
  254. while still managing one of the biggest sales teams on the ground too,
  255. with that increase in responsibility sees an increase in
  256. base pay from 300 to £400 per week,
  257. meaning on average.
  258. Our junior partners in the offer
  259. make around about
  260. meaning.
  261. On average,
  262. our junior partners in the office make between
  263. 1214 £100,000 per week £1,400,000 per week.
  264. No,
  265. so with that increase in responsibility sees an increase in the base pay. So the
  266. on track earnings for our junior partners are in excess of £60,000 per year
  267. taking a step up to senior partnership,
  268. which is where we'll take control of a full campaign.
  269. Uh, and a full market.
  270. We'll see an increase in, uh, base pay to around about 65 K,
  271. which equals around about 80 K with on track earnings as well.
  272. Now, some of the additional benefits, uh,
  273. the guys that we're gonna just talk through now,
  274. uh, so there is guaranteed earnings and there is one C commission,
  275. As I say with that hybrid payment structure,
  276. there's car allowances for anyone who may drive, uh,
  277. different discounts around gym and flexibility as well,
  278. as well as paid voluntary days.
  279. Uh, in included, too.
  280. As well as that, there'll be international travel opportunities.
  281. So we do get, um, Abroad, uh, a couple of times a year for our management team, too.
  282. Now, just some of the requirements on those roles and guys,
  283. so you must be over the age of 18.
  284. Uh, you must, uh, be full time and have a UK right to work. Permit,
  285. uh,
  286. and ensure that the Liverpool office is commutable distance
  287. for you so that we can provide the training
  288. now in terms of that expansion and that
  289. rapid growth that we were talking about before.
  290. We're currently operating in three different markets at the minute,
  291. um, Manchester, Liverpool and Bristol,
  292. as well as the Belfast market to which we are
  293. going to expand into in the very near future.
  294. So just based on those rapid expansions that we're talking about, uh, before, uh,
  295. we're currently operating in four different markets at the minute,
  296. which is our Manchester office located in Dean's Gate.
  297. Uh, the Liverpool office here, which is in the Baltic Triangle.
  298. Uh, in Bristol.
  299. We have an office in the Cabo Circus and in Belfast City Centre as well.
  300. Now what's next?
  301. So
  302. the next stage is the partner interview.
  303. So one of our trainee partners will be conducting more conversational interview,
  304. as we stated before with you guys, too.
  305. We're going to talk a bit more about the vision of the company a
  306. little bit about expectations as well. And then there's your chance to talk.
  307. So I'm sure you guys have a variety of
  308. different questions that you're eager to ask away.
  309. Now,
  310. any questions in the chat box I will come to the end
  311. will be a chance to ask that on a more one on one basis with our trainee partners.
  312. Uh,
  313. what I would recommend is read through the
  314. website thoroughly prepare any questions you do have
  315. and be prepared in the next stage to talk about your skills.
  316. Uh, both hard and soft skills there too.
  317. Now the questionnaire. Guys, I'm gonna email over to you, Uh, very, very soon.
  318. Uh, it's a very simple questionnaire. Uh, nothing too challenging there.
  319. So I was gonna ask you are you at the age of 18?
  320. Uh, just confirm all the requirements that we have there.
  321. Um, and there's gonna be a video recording we need you to do as well, guys,
  322. which is just highlighting some of your backgrounds.
  323. Uh, some of the experiences that you feel that would be relevant to us here,
  324. as well as your short, mid and long term goals.
  325. So we can gain a better understanding about the candidates that we're working with.
  326. And that's pretty much it guys.
  327. Uh,
  328. so hopefully that gives you a bit more of an understanding about what it is we do here.
  329. OK?
  330. The clients that we're working with, the roles that we're looking to fill as Well,
  331. uh, So follow the link on your email, uh, to complete the questionnaire,
  332. and we'll be in touch very shortly with the
  333. video link to record that video interview as well.
  334. So best of luck for the rest of the process.
  335. Guys, it's been a pleasure talking to you all this morning.
  336. I'll speak to you very soon. Thank you.
