  3. class? We're supposed to be seniors in 2020.
  4. I'm supposed to gradually Yeah, some background information about me.
  5. Um I have worked at public since 2018.
  6. And the lady that I said called Work Mom, her
  7. name is Sabrina and she was promoted to my store
  8. in November of 2019.
  9. She created a very good bond with this fellow or
  10. with us teenagers.
  11. We were like her Children.
  12. So in early March on mid March we were sent
  13. home from school what was supposed to just be two
  14. weeks. This made me along with many others very upset
  15. because this was our senior year.
  16. We felt like it was just going to end.
  17. Um Sabrina told us that me and the fellow coworkers
  18. at Publix that we're seniors told us that everything would
  19. be fine.
  20. It all happens for a reason and not to sweat
  21. in april.
  22. Um we were supposed to return to school on like
  23. the first full week of april on a monday and
  24. the following the, the previous friday We got a notification.
  25. Our parents got a notification about 5:00 which I was
  26. at school so I didn't know along with the other
  27. seniors are working, didn't know um that school had been
  28. canceled for good.
  29. Um Sabrina had tried to keep it a secret and
  30. that did not work because we had one customer come
  31. in who was mad that it was first daughters senior
  32. year. Very mad about it and blurted it out to
  33. all of us essentially.
  34. And uh we all wanted to break down on the
  35. floor and we all just looked at some bringing in
  36. disbelief and she hugged us and told us everything would
  37. be okay.
  38. It all happens for a reason.
  39. In the beginning of May.
  40. We were supposed to have our prop, It had already
  41. been moved from April to may and they were still
  42. trying to give us one, but it had been cancelled.
  43. Um It made me feel horrible because I had picked
  44. out this beautiful dress that I absolutely love.
  45. Um I had even got the alterations not on it.
  46. I picked up the jewelry, how my hair was supposed
  47. to be, my makeup, my shoes, everything.
  48. Um Sabrina told us girls seniors that if we wanted,
  49. said she had been a professional photographer before she would
  50. take our pictures of our dresses graduation from the high
  51. school was if he had told us, they were probably
  52. gonna do an online virtual graduation because they felt like
  53. that would be a safer opportunity.
  54. And it wasn't until many of us seniors and our
  55. parents rebelled against that idea that they decided to give
  56. us in person graduation on june the 19th of 2020
  57. Sabrina told us that we would never be forgotten if
  58. she had to, she would give us a graduation, but
  59. she didn't end up having to Yeah, Is the school
  60. district did, but we were only allowed to bring four
  61. people. Um An unexpected graduation did happen though from Sabrina.
  62. She, along with many other of our peers at Publix,
  63. decided to throw us a surprise graduation To help us
  64. out. And that happened on the day we were actually
  65. supposed to graduate, which was May 22 of 2020.
  66. They did it in our break room at Publix and
  67. she even used some of her own money because she
  68. did not want us to go without.
  69. And that made me feel so loved from my peers,
  70. because there were many people that I thought that didn't
  71. like us teenagers working there showed up just to make
  72. sure we knew how much we were loved, june 19th
  73. 2020 of students who went to school in the fall
  74. County school district Cata graduation in person, um with the
  75. four people like I previously stated, um it was live
  76. broadcasted to the other people who could make it to
  77. our graduation because of limited seating.
  78. Um Sabrina did end up watching several of us live
  79. on the virtual graduation, January 29 2021.
  80. Sabrina was transferred out of our store, be promoted up
  81. into customer service management and I will forever be thankful
  82. for her and what she did for us.
