  4. bit about our course and what a pharmacy technician does.
  5. So what is a pharmacy technician do?

  9. example, count tablets, capsules, measure liquids or place them in

  12. You fill medication carts, free package and label unit and
  13. multiple dose packages.
  14. Compound batch preparations, distribute routine orders for stock supplies to
  15. patient care areas, access and restock automated medication supply systems.

  20. So we go over the history of medicine and pharmacy,
  21. pharmacy, law, ethics and regulatory agents Over the counter medications
  22. as well as our top 200 drugs, complementary and alternative
  23. medicine, communication and roll with the customer and or patient
  24. drug calculations, bulk repackaging and non sterile compounding, as well
  25. as pharmacy billing and inventory management.
  26. During this course, we do use the program called produces
  27. and reproduces does send each and every one of our
  28. students, a pharmacy technician student guide.
  29. So every student will have their own personal guide where
  30. they can write their notes, any fill in the blanks
  31. for power points labs, drug lists.
  32. Everything will be included in the student guide and every
  33. student will be provided with.
  34. We also use the pharmacy technician principles and practice.
  35. We do have a class set so that is available
  36. to any student um while they are in class and
  37. it is also in the learning platform.
  38. It's learning uh so they can use it at any
  39. time. They need.
  40. You are our class labs.
  41. These are just some of the labs that we do
  42. in class.
  43. Um Starting with our first one, which is called the
  44. Happy Hiney butt bomb.
  45. It's a doctor smith's um appointment um that we do
  46. and it's a very popular one.
  47. We also do something called a poop will be gone
  48. spray which is a very popular spray that you do
  49. see often.
  50. And it's uh like the Pope a re spray that
  51. they that they sell nowadays.
  52. Um That is something that we're able to recreate and
  53. making class.
  54. We also have a syrup, suspension capsules, emulsions as well
  55. as molding a suppository.
  56. And here are some pictures of our students in action
  57. during some of our labs.
  58. And here are a couple more pictures are certification completion
  59. of our program allows you to test for your national
  60. certification. We do take the PTC.
  61. E, which is your pharmacy technician certification exam, which is
  62. given by the pharmacy technician certification board.
  63. It is a national certification that is valid in all
  64. 50 states.
  65. You will be registered as a pharmacy technician with the
  66. State Board of Pharmacy uh New this year we are
  67. introducing our spat certificate.
  68. So that is the sterile products and aseptic technique certificate
  69. which will get you ready to deal with sterile products
  70. as well as ivy trading.
  71. So that is something new that is coming this coming
  72. year and we're very excited to start this.
