00:01 - 00:03
Hi everyone. This is Susie wachowski.
00:03 - 00:11
I am here to give you a brief update on the projects that were accomplished in Fy 21.
00:11 - 00:14
The current status of the Fy 22 exhibit projects
00:14 - 00:18
and what you can expect coming up in Fy 23
00:20 - 00:24
Here is a dashboard um roll up that I developed
00:24 - 00:29
that shows the status of the projects in Fy 21.
00:29 - 00:32
As you can see, the majority of the projects were on target.
00:32 - 00:38
Um that means they were either completed or um significant
00:38 - 00:41
progress was made during the FY 21 fiscal year.
00:42 - 00:46
Uh We had and we also had a couple of delays and um
00:46 - 00:49
projects that were put on hold
00:49 - 00:51
and those were primarily due to
00:52 - 00:57
covid. So we had some staffing delays and we also had some supply chain issues.
00:57 - 01:02
So um we have continued on
01:02 - 01:05
Developing those projects in Fy 22.
01:06 - 01:11
Here is a list of projects that we worked on in Fy 21. As you can see.
01:11 - 01:14
The majority of the projects that we worked
01:14 - 01:17
on were completed in that same fiscal year.
01:17 - 01:21
Um and then we had a few that were carried over into Fy 22.
01:23 - 01:27
Here's some reference photos to show you what we finished in Fy 21,
01:28 - 01:31
we created signage for invasive round goby that
01:31 - 01:35
go on boat ramps along the Missouri River.
01:35 - 01:38
We developed the Discovery Trail
01:38 - 01:42
and other trailhead signage of Baroque Woods. We
01:43 - 01:46
updated the improving timber for your wildlife tabletop.
01:46 - 01:51
We created a brand new Tree City usA tabletop that is designed to
01:51 - 01:57
be taken to different outreach events and promote the Tree City usa program.
01:57 - 02:01
Uh and then the big photo in the center is the eagle nest play area
02:01 - 02:04
at Cape Nature Center and that was designed
02:04 - 02:07
to give young visitors an immersive experience.
02:07 - 02:11
Um so we can see what it feels like to be in an eagle nest.
02:11 - 02:14
Um and through that experience they can learn about the
02:14 - 02:18
habitat and the life cycle of bald eagles in Missouri.
02:20 - 02:25
This is a chart of the design hours completed in fy 21
02:25 - 02:29
broken down by project and it might be hard to read,
02:29 - 02:31
but I just wanted to point out that you can
02:31 - 02:34
see the majority of the projects we worked on,
02:34 - 02:37
the majority of our time was spent working on the snake box,
02:38 - 02:39
the pollinator table,
02:39 - 02:44
um developing graphics for the fares and providing support for the fares,
02:44 - 02:48
so that includes delivery takedown and actually running of the fair.
02:51 - 02:54
And that is Fy 21 in an overview.
02:55 - 02:55
Now,
02:55 - 02:59
I want to talk to you about what FY22 projects are
02:59 - 03:02
in the works and where we stand currently with those projects.
03:02 - 03:06
Um as you can see the majority of the projects are
03:06 - 03:10
on target for FY22 we have about 33% of the projects,
03:10 - 03:14
um not started yet, but here we are, we're halfway through the fiscal year.
03:14 - 03:21
So um those are still um in the works and we anticipate those being completed in Fy 22.
03:22 - 03:25
We have had a few delays delayed projects.
03:25 - 03:26
um but we,
03:27 - 03:29
that's a very small amount and we anticipate
03:29 - 03:32
moving forward with those projects as well.
03:34 - 03:37
Here's a list of the projects were developing in Fy 22.
03:37 - 03:39
I'm not going to read them to you all,
03:39 - 03:46
but I just wanted to show you um what we have on the docket for the exhibit projects
03:47 - 03:50
and here's a nice little visual that's supposed to outline um and give
03:50 - 03:53
you a representation of the types of things that we're working on.
03:53 - 03:59
So this top left picture is a mock up of the snake cart
03:59 - 04:01
modular exhibit that we're fabricating.
04:02 - 04:07
The top right is the bid package for Shoal Creek.
04:07 - 04:12
We also have another bid package for the shepherd of the hills exhibits.
04:12 - 04:16
And so both of those, we anticipate being completed,
04:16 - 04:19
the contracts being awarded in fy 22
04:19 - 04:21
work beginning in fy 23.
04:22 - 04:23
We also have exhibit
04:23 - 04:29
wayside finding um and a pollinator table that we are developing.
04:32 - 04:32
Okay,
04:32 - 04:36
taking a look at Fy 23 we are really honing in on those priority projects
04:36 - 04:39
that in Fy 23 looking at Shoal Creek
04:39 - 04:42
and shepherd the hills exhibit design contracts.
04:42 - 04:47
Um and and that's where the majority of our exhibit efforts will be.
04:48 - 04:52
Um We've also accepted these projects listed below and
04:52 - 04:56
you can see we are going to try to tackle
04:56 - 05:00
as many projects as we can um knowing that
05:00 - 05:04
the majority of our focus will be on those two
05:04 - 05:06
priority projects
05:07 - 05:16
and that is a high level overview of what we accomplished in fy 21 where we are in fy 22
05:16 - 05:18
what we can expect in fy 23.
05:18 - 05:18
Thank you.
