00:02 - 00:03
okay, so high,
00:03 - 00:06
so I'm Nicole Ryan Healy and I'm going to be
00:06 - 00:09
doing a lot of aton luxury brand expansion plan.
00:10 - 00:13
So first is the table of content.
00:13 - 00:17
So in order I'm going to do a quick, quick history of the leave baton
00:17 - 00:21
heritage because I am going to kind of go into that um, the product line,
00:21 - 00:26
the distribution, the marketing strategy and the conclusion of all that.
00:27 - 00:30
So first I have the legendary history, believe baton
00:30 - 00:31
baton is one of the,
00:31 - 00:35
is the second oldest luxury brands that is still in full operation today.
00:36 - 00:39
It is a valued luxury brand worldwide.
00:39 - 00:41
So some notable notable
00:42 - 00:46
um popularity ease of the brand is that they
00:46 - 00:50
used canvas instead of leathers for their iconic trunks
00:50 - 00:54
and some of their very popular bags or the speedy
00:54 - 00:56
and another big moment for the brand later
00:56 - 01:00
on was becoming a luxury conglomerate LVMH.
01:00 - 01:03
And then down there have a little history of
01:04 - 01:06
Louis Vuitton himself, I'm not going to get into that,
01:06 - 01:10
but that's kind of the heritage and the luxury history
01:10 - 01:13
of this brand and why it's so iconic and important.
01:13 - 01:17
And then here are some of the trunks that were designed for like
01:17 - 01:22
even royalty back in the 1800s when Louis Vuitton first started out.
01:23 - 01:24
So that's a slide on that.
01:25 - 01:31
So next is my product expansion, like product line idea and the pitch.
01:31 - 01:36
So basically my main idea was to bring about a line that was more affordable. So
01:37 - 01:40
the main idea is for the loo baton expansion
01:40 - 01:42
model is to bring a different market to the brand
01:43 - 01:45
and designs that are more affordable.
01:45 - 01:47
So the main question in the main issue,
01:47 - 01:50
and like a problem with this idea was how are you
01:50 - 01:53
going to do that without tarnishing the reputation of this luxury,
01:53 - 01:55
iconic, expensive brand?
01:55 - 01:59
So, I needed to figure out how to do that and how to do that successfully.
01:59 - 02:02
So I thought about in order to create
02:02 - 02:05
an affordable line using alternative materials is key.
02:05 - 02:08
So how are you going to do that without making it cheap?
02:08 - 02:08
So,
02:08 - 02:11
I wanted to incorporate sustainable practices
02:11 - 02:13
and materials that are eco friendly,
02:13 - 02:15
vegan alternatives,
02:15 - 02:18
recycled products, but I still want to honor the quality of the product.
02:18 - 02:21
So that's kind of the whole point of this expansion plan
02:21 - 02:27
is doing an affordable louis Vuitton product line that has sustainable products,
02:27 - 02:29
a full collection like that.
02:29 - 02:30
So more and more,
02:30 - 02:34
we see sustainable transit materials being used in designs and competitors,
02:34 - 02:38
even such as Gucci have incorporated this idea into their collections.
02:39 - 02:40
So, as I've been saying,
02:40 - 02:44
the heritage is really important and it's a key thing to
02:44 - 02:46
cherish during this idea that we don't want to lose.
02:46 - 02:49
So, since the product line is, we're going to see later,
02:49 - 02:52
it's based off early two thousand's designs, um,
02:52 - 02:55
the classic heritage is still going to be honored based on the designs
02:56 - 02:57
in many of the brands
02:58 - 02:59
Like I said before,
02:59 - 03:02
many luxury brands are expanding into sustainable practices
03:02 - 03:04
and this is kind of going to be a
03:04 - 03:07
test to see if the customer is interested because
03:07 - 03:09
later on you'll see in the expansion plan,
03:09 - 03:11
all of the products are going to be under $1,000,
03:11 - 03:16
which is on the more affordable line of um Labaton bags.
03:16 - 03:21
So, and the key idea of having this affordable line was to maintain the heritage of
03:21 - 03:22
Leave it on.
03:22 - 03:26
So bringing the idea of the sustainable product long is
03:26 - 03:31
going to have the nostalgia factor with the 2000 and
03:32 - 03:35
um yes, so next we're going to go on.
03:35 - 03:40
So this is the product line pitch, which is a sustainable mini bag collection,
03:40 - 03:41
all under $1000.
03:41 - 03:46
So for the product line will be making an entire sustainable mini bag collection,
03:46 - 03:50
which is nineties inspired in early two thousand's, inspired under $1000
03:51 - 03:55
using vegan materials for alternatives and sustainable
03:55 - 03:57
packaging such as recycled paper products.
03:57 - 04:02
So we're going to do this as affordably as possible to make sure that we'll
04:02 - 04:07
be able to cherish the heritage of Levittown collections and designs and the bags,
04:07 - 04:09
but also do this affordably too.
04:09 - 04:11
Break into a new market because that's the whole
04:11 - 04:13
point is we need to break into a new market
04:13 - 04:17
Making these bags affordable and also 100% sustainable.
04:18 - 04:18
So,
04:18 - 04:22
some leather alternatives for louis Vuitton um that
04:22 - 04:24
we're going to look into our mushroom leather,
04:24 - 04:28
pineapple leather and bio fabricated leather.
04:29 - 04:29
So,
04:29 - 04:31
like I said before by still honoring the
04:31 - 04:33
classic designs and quality of Labaton bags.
04:33 - 04:35
You want to create a new line to highlight
04:35 - 04:39
sustainable materials while also making the products affordable.
04:40 - 04:44
So making sure to cherish the louis Vuitton luxury strategy,
04:44 - 04:48
which is quality and heritage in the products will also highlight the
04:48 - 04:53
classic designs that are super loved and they're super trendy nowadays.
04:53 - 04:53
So this is
04:54 - 04:56
very relevant for the brand.
04:57 - 05:02
So other people, other materials that I'm going to incorporate into these um
05:03 - 05:06
products are going to be organic cotton
05:07 - 05:10
and louis Vuitton has already ventured into using organic cotton
05:10 - 05:12
um this year. So we're gonna
05:12 - 05:15
use that in this collection and then the packaging,
05:15 - 05:18
we want to have quality and eco friendly materials from top to bottom.
05:18 - 05:19
So
05:20 - 05:22
we're gonna make sure that everything is
05:22 - 05:23
yeah,
05:23 - 05:27
able to be recycled and um like
05:28 - 05:29
well used to the environment.
05:30 - 05:33
So next this is the product line examples,
05:33 - 05:35
the leather alternatives on the left there,
05:35 - 05:39
there's mushroom weather in the middle, there's pineapple leather
05:40 - 05:44
and on the right there's a bio fabricated leather. And um
05:46 - 05:51
those are all kind of examples of what we're going to use to make the bag sustainable
05:51 - 05:54
and also affordable. And the next you're going to see,
05:55 - 05:57
we're all going to these are the concept,
05:57 - 06:02
this is like the concept board of the mini bags um again inspired by the early two
06:02 - 06:05
thousand's and the nineties um that's kind of how
06:05 - 06:06
we're going to break into the new market,
06:06 - 06:08
having them all under $1000.
06:08 - 06:08
Again,
06:09 - 06:11
we're going to do that by making it sustainable.
06:11 - 06:13
So it's not, you wouldn't think of it as cheap.
06:13 - 06:17
You think of it as affordable and sustainable. So that's something really cool.
06:17 - 06:20
I think that you have to look at it as and then these
06:20 - 06:25
designs are kind of breaking into a new market by making them sustainable.
06:26 - 06:28
Okay, so then next
06:29 - 06:34
is the distribution plan. So the target market is gen Z and millennials.
06:34 - 06:38
So we're going to have around the younger age is around 18 to 30.
06:38 - 06:42
So we're going to have women who love classically baton designs and
06:42 - 06:46
the ones that are from the early two thousands and nineties.
06:46 - 06:48
And then women who value sustainable
06:48 - 06:51
materials and their experimental with fashion
06:51 - 06:55
and live in urban areas and stay up to date with fashion and luxury trends.
06:56 - 07:01
So then for the distribution in general, I want to have selective distribution.
07:01 - 07:04
So for this affordable sustainable collection,
07:04 - 07:09
we plan to distribute this collection in selective stores.
07:09 - 07:12
So next I'm going to kind of talk about specifically
07:12 - 07:15
where and why we want to do this selective distribution.
07:15 - 07:18
Um basically it's because finding stores
07:18 - 07:20
with customers who are experimental in fashion
07:20 - 07:25
and who have a nostalgia factor for passively Vuitton designs is the goal.
07:25 - 07:29
And we also want to expand into two new markets as I've been saying,
07:29 - 07:31
um an affordable collection
07:31 - 07:33
and a sustainable collection.
07:34 - 07:36
And then by doing this, it will bring a lot of popularity.
07:36 - 07:38
Hillary to vote on whether you're a collector
07:38 - 07:41
or a fan because it's going to technically be
07:41 - 07:46
Um marketed as affordable, even though it's under $1,000 for that brand.
07:46 - 07:47
That's it's cheaper.
07:48 - 07:51
And then it's going to be in select retail urban areas.
07:51 - 07:55
Um So next on, I'm going to talk about how it's going to be in new york city,
07:55 - 07:57
Los Angeles and Miami.
07:57 - 07:59
Um Those are two links to pictures there of
07:59 - 08:02
like an example of what the stores could look like
08:03 - 08:05
and then putting this collaboration in these stores will
08:05 - 08:09
be strategic and important and this will bring sales because
08:09 - 08:13
the people in these areas are willing to buy luxury
08:13 - 08:17
and they're willing to experiment with different ideas and different
08:17 - 08:23
Um trends in fashion. So this product again is going to be under $1,000, so
08:24 - 08:26
technically more affordable for the brand,
08:26 - 08:29
but it will always maintain the quality and heritage of the design,
08:29 - 08:34
but with a new twist of sustainability, which we see so many luxury brands doing.
08:34 - 08:39
So I think this is an awesome way to make it more affordable and sustainable.
08:40 - 08:41
Okay,
08:41 - 08:45
so then for our marketing strategy um since this collection is aimed
08:45 - 08:48
to be more affordable due to the alternative and sustainable materials,
08:48 - 08:54
using social media to grab the attention of gen Z is going to be the main focus,
08:54 - 08:56
our target market for these luxury
08:56 - 08:58
bags are gen Z and millennials.
08:58 - 09:01
So we'll be really engaging with content
09:01 - 09:04
using throwback themes on social media of like
09:04 - 09:08
past advertisements of louis Vuitton that you can see on the bottom there.
09:09 - 09:13
And then collaborating with popular gen z celebrities such as Emma,
09:13 - 09:18
chamberlain Sydney Sweeney, um India for instagram content will be key.
09:18 - 09:23
And then, as I said before, we want to always honor the luxury strategy,
09:23 - 09:25
which is the heritage in quality.
09:25 - 09:27
So we want to make sure that we keep the,
09:28 - 09:32
The advertisements classic and how they always have been.
09:32 - 09:35
So really tapping into the old advertisements in the 90s and
09:35 - 09:39
the 2000s and honoring that is really the goal here.
09:39 - 09:44
And like I said, we want to bring early 2000's aesthetic into it,
09:44 - 09:48
channeling different advertisements and prints for magazine ads.
09:48 - 09:50
And then yes,
09:51 - 09:54
And then these are some examples of specific ads from the
09:54 - 09:58
early 2000s and 90s that I would really want to use because
09:59 - 10:00
I think that
10:00 - 10:03
I really channels the vibe that we're also looking for
10:03 - 10:06
in this presentation and I'm going to just go back to
10:06 - 10:08
this which is like the main product line and the
10:08 - 10:13
idea which is this sustainability and affordability of this product,
10:13 - 10:15
which I think is a really cool idea
10:15 - 10:19
because it's basically making louis Vuitton feel more affordable
10:19 - 10:23
by having these really iconic designs and also
10:23 - 10:25
having it to be sustainable because so many
10:25 - 10:30
jen's ears are really into that and I think that's a perfect way to incorporate both.
10:30 - 10:32
So thank you so much
