What's going on, everybody?
00:02 - 00:02
I'm Zachary Casey.
00:03 - 00:06
And today we're gonna be going over the significance of
00:06 - 00:06
P M.
00:06 - 00:10
I. Well, before we can talk about the significance of
00:10 - 00:13
PM I, we have to understand its competitors.
00:14 - 00:17
Er So for example, I'm gonna give us I p
00:17 - 00:20
m a Now I p m a is what you're
00:20 - 00:21
seeing on the screen right here.
00:22 - 00:26
I p m a stands for the, uh, International Project
00:26 - 00:26
Management Association.
00:28 - 00:32
Now, as you can see, the members association right underneath
00:32 - 00:38
there is all of the associations that fall underneath it.
00:38 - 00:39
Well, I p m.
00:39 - 00:42
A is basically a parent company and you have sub
00:42 - 00:45
categories like these other associations that fall under there.
00:46 - 00:51
All these associations are based in in their own country.
00:51 - 00:59
For example, on 3.2 our research projects or 3.1 our
00:59 - 01:02
research projects, I chose to do Italy.
01:03 - 01:07
Now Italy's is a n i M.
01:07 - 01:10
P. If I can pronounce that, I would.
01:11 - 01:15
However, the English version is the National Association of Industrial
01:16 - 01:16
Plant Design.
01:18 - 01:21
Now, the significance of I p m.
01:21 - 01:28
A is yes, they do offer great professional certifications.
01:30 - 01:33
However, to receive those certifications, you have to go through
01:33 - 01:36
an interview process and sit down.
01:36 - 01:40
Process any basically eyes an in person test.
01:42 - 01:47
However, the PM, my certification a k a PMP.
01:50 - 01:54
As you see right here, the project management profession certification
01:54 - 01:55
that you would receive from P.
01:56 - 02:00
M. I is a world renounce very recognized certification.
02:02 - 02:05
And if you walk into work force with a PMP,
02:07 - 02:11
more likely than not, companies are going to understand and
02:11 - 02:12
recognize the certification.
02:14 - 02:15
Now, a little fun fact for you.
02:16 - 02:21
According to Forbes magazine, if you have a PMP certification,
02:21 - 02:22
you're 23%.
02:25 - 02:31
You're going to make 23% uh, mawr than your peers
02:31 - 02:34
who did not have a PMP certification.
02:36 - 02:37
Now, take those numbers right.
02:38 - 02:42
And, yeah, think of it like this.
02:43 - 02:49
Back in 2018, the PMP certification that one would hold
02:50 - 02:52
was valued at $114,000.
02:55 - 03:00
One year later, in 2019, it rose 18.6% making it
03:01 - 03:02
making it worth total of $136,000.
03:05 - 03:07
It was quite a bit of quite a bit amount
03:08 - 03:08
of money, right.
03:09 - 03:12
I'm sure we can all appreciate a little bit more
03:12 - 03:12
money in our pocket.
03:13 - 03:18
Yeah, so I'm gonna teach you how to make that
03:19 - 03:23
money. Now you're probably under all wondering, right?
03:24 - 03:26
How can I apply to get the certification?
03:28 - 03:33

45 100 hours of work in directing or leading projects
03:42 - 03:45
and 35 hours of project management education.
03:48 - 03:52

03:52 - 03:54
have a high school diploma, that's fine, too.
03:54 - 03:55

03:56 - 03:59

03:59 - 04:02

04:10 - 04:16
7500 hours of work directing or leading projects and again,
04:16 - 04:24
35 hours of management education Now to take the test
04:25 - 04:26
right. Those are all prerequisites.
04:27 - 04:29
Once you complete all this prerequisites, you could take a
04:29 - 04:33

04:34 - 04:36
of that 200 question test is pre released so you
04:36 - 04:38
could get a baseline, see where you're at.
04:39 - 04:44
Now, take those 25 questions subtracted from your 200 you're
04:44 - 04:48

04:49 - 04:52
on your final score to take this exam.
