00:01 - 00:01
Hi, everybody.
00:02 - 00:06
It's April, which means it is our month to celebrate
00:07 - 00:08
a day without hate.
00:09 - 00:11
For those of you who don't know what that is,
00:11 - 00:16
it is a student led organization that promotes kindness, Nonviolence,
00:17 - 00:21
anti bullying and unity that makes our school a safer
00:22 - 00:24
and happier place for us to be every day.
00:25 - 00:31
So from the 26th of April until the 30th, our
00:31 - 00:36
school will be having events to celebrate us being respectful
00:38 - 00:39
and kind to each other.
00:40 - 00:43
In order to have those events, we will be raising
00:44 - 00:49
money by selling snacks and friendship bracelets that you can
00:49 - 00:51
buy for $1 each.
00:53 - 00:53
Middle schoolers.
00:54 - 00:57
You can buy these items during your lunch time in
00:57 - 01:02
the cafeteria and elementary schoolers you will be able to
01:02 - 01:02
buy them from your classroom.
01:03 - 01:06
A teacher will come around to your room so that
01:06 - 01:10
you can either buy snacks such as talkies and hot
01:10 - 01:13
Cheetos, or one of the friendship bracelets, which you can
01:14 - 01:14
buy for yourself.
01:15 - 01:18
Or you can buy them for somebody else to show
01:18 - 01:20
kindness. Mm.
01:21 - 01:24
And the money earned from selling these items will go
01:24 - 01:29
directly into planning the, um, a day without hate events
01:30 - 01:33
for place Bridge Academy, which will take place from the
01:33 - 01:35
26th of April until the 30.
01:38 - 01:42
Oh, and you can buy them beginning on the 12th
01:43 - 01:44
all the way up through the 23rd.
01:46 - 01:49
So all again, although it's called a day without hate,
01:49 - 01:52
we want to make sure that we are kind to
01:52 - 01:53
others all year long.
01:54 - 01:57
So it's important to be thinking of ways that we
01:57 - 02:01
can be kind to others, Um, all the time and
02:01 - 02:03
that can be as small as holding the door for
02:03 - 02:07
somebody. Um, you can draw somebody a picture, right?
02:07 - 02:10
Somebody a letter, or even give somebody a compliment.
02:11 - 02:14
Um, just remember to always be kind and loving towards
02:15 - 02:17
each other, even if it's not April.
02:18 - 02:20
Even if it's not, we're not celebrating it.
02:21 - 02:23
It's always an important thing to be kind to each
02:23 - 02:25
other. Mhm.
02:26 - 02:28
All right, so make sure that you are on the
02:28 - 02:29
lookout in school.
02:30 - 02:32
We are hanging posters in the hallway to remind you
02:33 - 02:34
that these events are happening.
02:35 - 02:40
And as we get closer to the 26th, um, through
02:40 - 02:43
the 30th will be letting you know what events are
02:43 - 02:45
coming up and how you can participate.
02:47 - 02:50
Um, and other fun things in ways that you can
02:50 - 02:51
show belonging in our school.
02:52 - 02:53
So we hope you're having a beautiful day.
02:54 - 02:59
Glad to see everybody after spring break and we will
02:59 - 03:01
send you more information coming up soon.
03:01 - 03:02
Thanks, everybody.
