00:00 - 00:01
Hello, everyone.
00:02 - 00:04
My name is Kayla and I am going to be
00:04 - 00:05
talking to you about film photography.
00:06 - 00:08
And I know you're wondering what type of cameras in
00:08 - 00:11
my hand and it is a yeah chicha tl electro
00:11 - 00:13
X, and it was manufactured in Japan.
00:14 - 00:16
So this is the selfie of me.
00:16 - 00:18
I had to take it out on a date and
00:18 - 00:20
get to know and I was really nervous at first
00:20 - 00:22
because I didn't know how it feel about the correct
00:23 - 00:27
exposure and getting good camera quality and like understanding it
00:27 - 00:32
all because photography now is completely different from what it
00:32 - 00:33
waas before.
00:34 - 00:35
And it's constantly changing.
00:35 - 00:39
And I'm completely amazed on how long process has just
00:39 - 00:42
went. Thio, you take it to Walmart you downloaded on
00:43 - 00:45
your computer and uploaded on social media like it has
00:45 - 00:46
completely changed.
00:47 - 00:49
And I'm all here for I'm not even gonna lie
00:49 - 00:49
about it.
00:50 - 00:52
And I believe that film is a longer process.
00:54 - 00:58
Then it is when you just take it digitally because
00:58 - 01:01
when you take it digitally, your click and you're done
01:01 - 01:02
and you can already see it film.
01:03 - 01:04
You kind of have to wait for the excitement and
01:04 - 01:07
like there is like the kind of rushes like I
01:07 - 01:10
wonder how it's gonna turn like I wonder what is
01:10 - 01:15
going to turn out like or your you dip it
01:15 - 01:20
in the three different solutions you have the developer, the
01:20 - 01:21
stop bath and the fixer.
01:22 - 01:24
And that is what kind of creates certainly have to
01:24 - 01:28
get the proper light to go in which, speaking of
01:28 - 01:30
that, this is a really sick picture I took of
01:30 - 01:35
the machine that kind of lights up the film that
01:35 - 01:38
you just took, and then it burns it onto a
01:38 - 01:38
piece of paper.
01:39 - 01:40
But then you can't see it until you dip it
01:40 - 01:41
in the solution.
01:41 - 01:43
And I think that is the most epic thing in
01:43 - 01:43
the world.
01:45 - 01:51
This is also, ah, film that this is my before
01:52 - 01:52
contact sheet.
01:52 - 01:53
So it's just been in.
01:53 - 01:56
It sleeps to protect it from fingerprints and to protect
01:56 - 01:59
it from water and anything you can think of in
01:59 - 01:59
the dark room.
02:00 - 02:01
That way you can see it.
02:01 - 02:03
You can lift it up to the light, and you
02:03 - 02:05
can make sure you know what one you're gonna be
02:05 - 02:05
printing out.
02:08 - 02:10
This is a picture of my contact sheets, and I
02:12 - 02:14
loved It took a while to like understand what I'm
02:14 - 02:15
supposed to be doing.
02:15 - 02:16
But like once you get the hang of it, it's
02:16 - 02:17
really easy.
02:17 - 02:18
And it's really simple to Dio.
02:18 - 02:20
It's just the time if you have the time for
02:20 - 02:22
our 10 out of 10, recommend it.
02:25 - 02:28
This is a sick picture that I took, and I
02:29 - 02:30
this one took a long time.
02:31 - 02:32
I'm not even gonna lie about it.
02:32 - 02:34
And I think it's because some of my papers got
02:35 - 02:38
overexposed under exposed or like there was too much light
02:38 - 02:38
in it.
02:38 - 02:39
And that's what caused it.
02:39 - 02:42
Toe turnout dark or too light.
02:42 - 02:43
And so I finally got it perfect.
02:46 - 02:46
This is another one.
02:47 - 02:49
I love everything about this clock, and I've been obsessed
02:49 - 02:49
with it.
02:49 - 02:51
And so I wanted to take it on film, and
02:52 - 02:53
I'm thinking, I kind of want to burn the edges
02:54 - 02:56
of it at some point and make it like, look
02:56 - 02:58
more of like an epic type feel.
03:02 - 03:04
This is one of my contact sheets, and I are
03:05 - 03:06
this not my contact sheet.
03:06 - 03:10
This is my film protector again in lights, and you
03:10 - 03:11
can see kind of what it looks like again.
03:12 - 03:15
I would 100% shooting film again.
03:16 - 03:17
I want to go thrift ing and I want to
03:17 - 03:20
find my own film camera toe have and I want
03:20 - 03:22
to go like, create my dark room.
03:23 - 03:25
I have so much expectations for this after I learned
03:25 - 03:31
everything about this, Um, also one thing I would like
03:31 - 03:37
Toa ad is yeah, I Every camera is different.
03:37 - 03:40
Every film camera is different and just kind of find
03:40 - 03:43
like what you personally like because you have to dig
03:44 - 03:45
in and take it out on the date.
03:45 - 03:46
Kind of like Rochelle has said in the past.
03:48 - 03:53
Anyhoo, I'm going to jump right into the two photographers
03:54 - 03:55
that I would 10 out of 10 recommend.
03:58 - 04:00
And this one his name is Andre Terra.
04:01 - 04:02
Alexandra Alexandra.
04:03 - 04:04
Believe I said that, right?
04:04 - 04:05
This is his instagram.
04:05 - 04:09
He's more of the natural type person that he likes
04:09 - 04:10
to shoot in film.
04:11 - 04:14
He also like I just like how it's more like
04:14 - 04:15
the live in the moment and like you take that
04:15 - 04:20
and like, he kind of showed what he expects of
04:20 - 04:23
himself as a photographer and like creating like those breathtaking
04:24 - 04:28
views for everyone that can't see it at this horrible
04:28 - 04:29
time in the middle of a pandemic.
04:31 - 04:31
Any who?
04:32 - 04:39
Um, my next person is Tessa Tess Mayer Mayer.
04:40 - 04:44
She also shoots film, but she kind of does the
04:44 - 04:46
type of photography that is different.
04:47 - 04:52
And she has, like her own way of shooting.
04:53 - 04:56
She will shoot kind of whatever inspires her in the
04:56 - 04:58
moment. She's not like all about nature.
04:58 - 05:02
She's not all about, you know, architecture.
05:02 - 05:04
She's just whatever she sees in the moment.
05:04 - 05:05
She just has to take it.
05:06 - 05:08
And yes, thank you for watching my video.
05:09 - 05:14
And I hope that some of you enjoy film Justus
05:14 - 05:14
Muchas ideo.
