00:01 - 00:01
Hi, I'm Zoe Tracks.
00:02 - 00:03
I'm Hayley, Boss.
00:03 - 00:06
I'm clear jokes and we're representing Central High School Fbl
00:06 - 00:07
A into the social media strategy.
00:11 - 00:14
In order to create this presentation, we came up with
00:14 - 00:18
a fictional school district located in Maryland called Blossom City
00:19 - 00:19
School District.
00:20 - 00:24
This district contains three schools and elementary school and middle
00:24 - 00:26
school and a high school.
00:28 - 00:33
Our goal was to attract students that attend schools in
00:33 - 00:37
this district, the parents of these students and other adults
00:38 - 00:41
interested in our district who live in the community.
00:46 - 00:48
The goals of this presentation is thio.
00:49 - 00:51
Make sure to promote engagement and positivity.
00:51 - 00:58
In addition Thio, Um uh, raising awareness for the world
00:58 - 01:00
wide events that are going on with pinned.
01:00 - 01:08
Um, For this presentation, we chose Thio, the three social
01:08 - 01:11
media platforms of Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
01:12 - 01:16
Instagram offers a wide variety of features such as the
01:16 - 01:20
live videos, the polls, highlights and other story features.
01:24 - 01:27
Facebook is very well known what the older age ribs
01:27 - 01:31
with the parents and grand parents and others in that
01:31 - 01:34
area. And it also offers the reaction feature and a
01:34 - 01:35
live videos as well.
01:38 - 01:42
Twitter is really what well known for its hashtags and
01:42 - 01:47
retweets, which helps the community get more where or being
01:47 - 01:51
aware of the information that we put out and so
01:51 - 01:59
we can expand that variety of beach or our strategies.
02:01 - 02:02
Ah, big thing for us was visual appeal.
02:03 - 02:07
So we decided to keep a consistent color palette of
02:07 - 02:10
pinks, corals, and we tried to use bright colors and
02:10 - 02:11
bright fonts.
02:11 - 02:14
Um, to just really bring attention to what we have
02:14 - 02:14
to say.
02:16 - 02:20
Um, we included pictures and clip art in our post
02:21 - 02:24
just because it kind of adds something.
02:24 - 02:27
It's not just words that you're looking at on the
02:27 - 02:30
posts and we use can va to make all of
02:30 - 02:31
our posts.
02:33 - 02:34
Next is raising awareness.
02:35 - 02:37
Um, this is in current times.
02:37 - 02:39
So we're talking about the global pandemic.
02:40 - 02:44
Um, we just keep reminders on our post and in
02:45 - 02:49
our bio, um, just encouraging, wearing mask and keeping social
02:49 - 02:55
distancing guidelines, we introduced a food bank fundraiser with our
02:55 - 02:56
Cities Food Bank.
02:57 - 03:00
We talked about how due to Covad there are a
03:01 - 03:05
lot of needs for donations and we kind of had
03:05 - 03:09
a little competition between the three schools and we posted
03:09 - 03:11
about those on our social media platforms.
03:15 - 03:16
Our next strategy is encouraging.
03:17 - 03:23
Positivity. Um, we posted helpful reminders, Um, just trying to
03:23 - 03:24
create a positive atmosphere.
03:24 - 03:29
And in our district, mental health is really advocated for
03:29 - 03:32
and it's just something that's really big part of what
03:33 - 03:37
we tried to convey eso we'd like to post mental
03:37 - 03:41
health reminders and just other positive reminders like that.
03:47 - 03:52
Another thing that was very appealing about our strategy was
03:52 - 03:56
that we decided to transfer ah, lot of information that
03:57 - 04:01
would normally be broadcasted in person into the online world.
04:02 - 04:05
On our social media platforms, for example, we use Google
04:06 - 04:09
forms to allow people to sign up for the A
04:09 - 04:10
C T.
04:10 - 04:11
Instead of doing this in person.
04:12 - 04:17
This just adds to convenience, and it keeps with the
04:17 - 04:20
times being that we're in a pandemic, it is safer
04:20 - 04:21
to do things online.
04:25 - 04:28
We also encouraged engagement through a Siris of coasts.
04:29 - 04:33
Viewers would be eager to see the next installment and
04:34 - 04:37
these posts, so that was part of our strategy.
04:39 - 04:39
And it allowed.
04:40 - 04:49
Thio broadcast our goals for donations on multiple platforms by
04:49 - 04:53
using Twitter and Instagram and Facebook, all promoting the same
04:54 - 04:55
thing and linking to each other.
04:59 - 05:04
We also played onto our age groups using specific websites.
05:06 - 05:10
As we stated earlier, Facebook is more appealing to older
05:10 - 05:13
generations, so parents would be more active on their.
05:14 - 05:17
Therefore, we catered posts on Facebook more to the parents.
05:17 - 05:20
And Twitter and Instagram are more relatable for the students.
05:21 - 05:24
So we catered those platforms to the students.
05:31 - 05:33
These are the sources we used to create our presentation.
05:34 - 05:37
And this presentation was reported on Prezi.
05:38 - 05:39
Thank you for your time.
05:39 - 05:39
Thank you.
