  1. Welcome to my presentation on achieving the best possible life.
  2. The three areas I will be discussing in my presentation are metaphysics,
  3. ethics and aesthetics.
  4. Metaphysics is a is a branch and philosophy
  5. that discusses the first principles of being,
  6. identity and change, space and time, casualty,
  7. necessity and possibility.
  8. Ethics is the branch that deals with in concepts of right and wrong behavior.
  9. Aesthetics deals with the nature and value of art and beauty.
  10. That leads us to an understanding of what is art.
  11. Each of these branches and philosophy are important to
  12. discuss in order to achieve the best life possible.
  13. At the end, at the end of this presentation,
  14. you will have a good understanding on achieving the best life
  15. possible and how each branch can help you with that.
  16. Before we begin,
  17. let's imagine your best life and how it looks like for you,
  18. metaphysics.
  19. Aristotle is an ancient greek and polymath philosopher who argues
  20. that in order to live the best possible life,
  21. you need to be happy and enjoy living
  22. Aristotle States that happiness is the meaning and purpose of life,
  23. the whole aim and end of human existence
  24. personally, I agree with this argument,
  25. because it has been proven by many scientists and philosophers
  26. that happiness is the key to living the best life possible.
  27. On the other hand,
  28. Aristotle's cosmological argument proves the existence of
  29. God by arguing the cause and effect
  30. Aristotle states, then nothing is self moved. Everything has a cause has an effect.
  31. For example,
  32. if you punch someone, your fist is not ultimately responsible for moving itself,
  33. your arm is not ultimately responsible for moving your fists
  34. because neither your fist nor your arm ourself moved.
  35. Therefore the person is self moved.
  36. I don't agree with this argument because the person cannot be self moved.
  37. God represents blissful nous. It cannot create
  38. cannot be causing a negative action.
  39. Thus this theory cannot create the best possible outcome.
  40. Ethics
  41. thomas Aquinas is and a talent Dominican for fear,
  42. philosopher who argues that in order to be in complete happiness,
  43. you have to be joined with God.
  44. Aquinas states that if you join with your creator,
  45. your life will be complete finding God will make you truly happy.
  46. Honestly, I don't I do agree with this theory.
  47. The fact that is God is the key to your happiness since he created you.
  48. This theory states that their love and trust in God will keep will give them
  49. the confidence to step out of their comfort zone to experience life to its fullest.
  50. In contrast to ethical normative acquainted states
  51. that the ultimate purpose of life for
  52. a human is to return back to its creator in every good deed and action
  53. brings them a little bit closer
  54. to achieving their goal.
  55. I don't
  56. I don't agree with this theory.
  57. I believe when we die, we do go back to God,
  58. but I don't agree with the fact that it's an ultimate goal in life
  59. to do as many good things as we can because our alternate goal
  60. is in life is to be happy
  61. right
  62. Aesthetics.
  63. Plato is a greek philosopher during the fifth century B. C. E.
  64. In his theory on beauty.
  65. Plato estates, that as humans,
  66. we have the ability to recognize the good in people and in things.
  67. This quality is referred to as the ultimate moral goodness. Beauty.
  68. I agree with this theory, appreciating all blessings around us,
  69. puts us on the path to live the best possible life.
  70. On the other note,
  71. Plato argues that art should resemble reality. Plato was not a fan of art.
  72. He believed that art was a copy of a false copy of a true reality.
  73. I do not agree with this theory. Art can,
  74. art can reflect reality however, reality cannot be defined by art.
  75. The reality is something out of our grasp.
  76. We cannot see it because we can be consumed by the illusions we live in
  77. only when we step out of this, make believe world that we can reach our main purpose
  78. conclusion.
  79. In conclusion, all three philosophers,
  80. theories are geared towards achieving the best possible life Aristotle Aquinas
  81. and Plato in very different ways to enforce the same thing,
  82. how to better our life and achieve our full potential
  83. Aristotle states through happiness,
  84. acquaintance says by joining God and Plato confirms by being good,
  85. we can get to the outcome of the best possible life
  86. once I realized without happiness, life is not worth living.
  87. I started prioritizing the things that made me happy
  88. rather than doing the things than pleased others
  89. since you are living
  90. since you are living for yourself and not others,
  91. you start to do the things that make you happy
  92. and that motivates you to live the best possible life.
  93. From this presentation, I've learned that if my job, school,
  94. family members or an activity slash hobbies is not fulfilling me,
  95. then it's not worth my time because the only thing worth my time is doing the
  96. is doing what makes me happy.
  97. I would like to thank you for listening to my presentation.
  98. I really enjoyed making it and I hope you get if you enjoyed listening to it too,
  99. thank you so much.
