00:01 - 00:04
Yeah. Welcome back, everybody for a new fund semester.
00:06 - 00:10
Um, I'm making this presentation to just introduce a little
00:10 - 00:10
bit about myself.
00:12 - 00:15
Um, first and foremost, I am going to be the
00:15 - 00:16
new elementary art teacher.
00:17 - 00:18
I am originally from Louisiana.
00:20 - 00:23
I currently have a associates in fine arts from L
00:24 - 00:26
s U, as well as a bachelor's of education studies
00:27 - 00:27
from Wilmington University.
00:29 - 00:31
Um, I have a couple of fun facts about myself.
00:32 - 00:34
I used to work for the Walt Disney World Company.
00:34 - 00:38
I was there for two years for any of my
00:38 - 00:39
Harry Potter fans.
00:39 - 00:41
I'm part of the Hubble Puff House.
00:42 - 00:46
Um, I really like dinosaurs, and my car's name is
00:46 - 00:51
Amy because, coincidentally, not out of any kind of chance,
00:52 - 00:54
but my license plate has, am I?
00:55 - 00:59
And ever since my car's name is Amy, just from
00:59 - 01:03
pure luck of the draw, um, some or interesting stuff
01:04 - 01:07
about me here's some pictures from my family.
01:08 - 01:09
Some of these are actual relatives.
01:10 - 01:14
I have my roommates in a photo as well as
01:14 - 01:16
my Disney family from my roommates during my internship.
01:18 - 01:20
Um, as well, a ZX a photo of me and
01:20 - 01:21
my boyfriend.
01:24 - 01:25
Um, some of my hobbies.
01:25 - 01:26
I like to play video games.
01:27 - 01:30
I go to the movies a lot to go to
01:30 - 01:30
the theme parks.
01:31 - 01:33
I create my own art to read.
01:34 - 01:37
I really like to hang out at the pool, The
01:37 - 01:43
beach. Um, wherever I can go swimming, um, some of
01:43 - 01:47
my experiences that I will be using as teaching I
01:47 - 01:51
have a lot of family background in the school system.
01:51 - 01:54
My mom has been a college professor in math since
01:55 - 01:58
I was a young child and then my grandmother, as
01:59 - 02:01
long as I've known her, has taught high school math.
02:02 - 02:04
Um, while I was in college, I did an internship
02:05 - 02:07
where I worked with the Boys and Girls Club for
02:07 - 02:07
two years.
02:08 - 02:10
I was a tutor as well as I would interact
02:11 - 02:14
with the kids, um, in different activities on.
02:14 - 02:17
But then I also worked alongside kids at Walt Disney
02:17 - 02:23
World. Um, some other little fun facts about me.
02:23 - 02:23
My favorite stuff.
02:24 - 02:26
My favorite holiday is Halloween.
02:26 - 02:29
I love dressing up, and I love seeing some of
02:29 - 02:32
the creative aspects that other people come up with.
02:33 - 02:39
My favorite color is blue Pacific Lee the like bluish
02:39 - 02:40
green tent.
02:40 - 02:43
You might see what ocean or just like tropical vibes.
02:43 - 02:46
Not I'm not really so much a dark blue person.
02:46 - 02:49
More on the light, my favorite food.
02:49 - 02:50
I like pasta like Mexican.
02:51 - 02:55
I love seafood and as a child of heart, I
02:55 - 02:56
love chicken nuggets.
02:57 - 02:59
They're probably my go to me, a lot of restaurant.
03:01 - 03:05
My favorite subject is math, which is kind of interesting,
03:05 - 03:08
since I am really, since I'm the art teacher.
03:09 - 03:11
But what most people don't know is you can really
03:11 - 03:17
incorporate math into your artwork with symmetry and geometry and
03:17 - 03:17
all that kind of stuff.
03:18 - 03:20
So I'd like to incorporate some of those things in
03:20 - 03:20
my art lessons.
03:22 - 03:24
And then, since I like to read my favorite books
03:25 - 03:30
or fantasy and romance books, Um, mostly young adult fiction
03:30 - 03:31
is probably my favorite.
03:32 - 03:34
Um, and here are a couple of my favorite authors,
03:38 - 03:41
and some of my expectations as a teacher is all
03:41 - 03:45
I want to do is just inspire, um, create the
03:45 - 03:49
creative minds for all of my students more so I
03:49 - 03:52
want to see their creativity than technique.
03:53 - 03:55
What can they come up with and how do they
03:56 - 03:57
want to come across?
03:57 - 03:58
Because there's different ways to do everything.
04:00 - 04:04
Um, I do visit each grade level in each class
04:04 - 04:04
throughout the day.
04:05 - 04:07
So here's just a breakdown of when I might see
04:07 - 04:08
your student during the day.
04:10 - 04:14
Yeah, um, and this is my favorite quote the role
04:14 - 04:18
in education of helping Children become like themselves instead of
04:18 - 04:19
more like everybody else.
04:20 - 04:25
Because, uh, students I would like to see them work
04:25 - 04:31
more outside the box, have video work.
04:34 - 04:37
All right, well, I guess my welcome back videos not
04:37 - 04:38
working too much, but that's okay.
04:39 - 04:42
Um, and if you guys ever need anything, here's my
04:42 - 04:43

04:44 - 04:47

04:47 - 04:49

04:49 - 04:50
