  6. End of your update.
  7. Um, there's a lot of big changes and updates going
  8. on. So I thought it would be best to give
  9. you a video recorded version of this as opposed to
  10. just throwing the documents on a google classroom because I
  11. thought you needed a little bit more explanation.
  12. So to get straight to it, All of the things
  13. that I'm going to talk to you about are going
  14. to be available in Google classroom under week 20 and
  15. that is the last week of our class.
  16. So it will be at the very top for you.
  17. So the reason that I'm bringing this up is because
  18. map testing is going to begin next Friday the 21st
  19. and it's going to go all the way through that
  20. last Wednesday the 26th.
  21. the day before we release for summer break.
  22. And in these testing schedules you're gonna see that you
  23. don't go to every class period every day and you
  24. take certain map tests during certain class periods and um,
  25. we still don't have all the information as to what
  26. it's gonna look like in that moment.
  27. So because of that and all of the other testing
  28. schedules and the end of your items that are popping
  29. up and all those timelines, I have to announce that
  30. all of the extended and bonus lives will need to
  31. be canceled for the remainder of this year.
  32. Um, It's extremely unfortunate and I'm, I'm so sorry that
  33. I'm having to cancel those things.
  34. Um, I'm looking for ways to make up for it
  35. on the back end, but with the time that we
  36. have available and the changes that have happened to the
  37. schedule, there's truly just no way to plug all of
  38. those things in in a way that gives you all
  39. access and gives you enough time to actually enjoy your
  40. lab. So I'm working on ways to make that an
  41. equitable trade.
  42. So please be patient with me instead.
  43. We're going to be using that remaining lab availability time
  44. to get our eighth graders who have been testing all
  45. week through their makeup labs and we're going to be
  46. using that next couple of days to shut down our
  47. classroom in the kitchen.
  48. Subsequently, if you need an need an overview, this is
  49. also going to be available in the google classroom, but
  50. an overview of that schedule for the next two weeks
  51. is just that um monday Tuesday eighth grade live makeups,
  52. Wednesday thursday kitchen shutdown classroom shutdown.
  53. That friday.
  54. We start map testing that next following monday Tuesday and
  55. Wednesday. Our map testing events in the following thursday we
  56. do chromebook collection technology into your shut down.
  57. Um, and all sorts of other things.
  58. And don't forget eighth graders have uh extended lunch for
  59. the last Tuesday of the school year, lots of things
  60. going on.
  61. So I really do apologize deeply for having to cancel
  62. those bonus slabs and it's going to pop back up
  63. later for those of you that I'll see again.

  65. I have very greatly enjoyed our year this year, so
  66. I truly hope you felt the same.
  67. So when we are not in a lab for the
  68. remaining of our remainder of our course here, I would
  69. like you to use your class time to use it
  70. as a study hall to work on various things that
  71. you might be interested in on the choice board or
  72. feel free to play virtual board games and engage socially
  73. with your peers because I know that it's been a
  74. very stressful testing time period for all of you.
  75. I'm currently considering other fun things that I could do
  76. to plug in for our remaining days, so input as
  77. much appreciated again.

  79. all of the extra patients that you've given me as
  80. we've gone through all of the tumultuous things that go
  81. with our historical school year and I'm glad to have
  82. experienced it with you guys.
