  1. Yeah, welcome everybody to the week 16 market update brought
  2. to you by team johnson.
  3. It's grilling season.
  4. What does that mean?
  5. As you can see what is right here on this
  6. picture, you're meets your fruits, your vegetables, all will come
  7. into play throughout this.
  8. Market update volume throughout the U.
  9. S. Has been higher than we have seen over about
  10. the past two years.
  11. With that we have seen drivin tender rejections, Sit at
  12. about 25 for the past two weeks.
  13. Why one in every four truckload sent to a broker
  14. or an asset based carrier are being rejected with the
  15. amount of volume that is being obviously driven throughout the
  16. US plays a huge huge role in that.
  17. So we just want to make sure that we are
  18. building the carrier relationships that we need working with the
  19. carrier wraps to make sure that our freight is not
  20. One of those four.
  21. Another huge piece that will come into play for us
  22. are refer tender rejections 45%.
  23. Almost half of the laws that are being sent to
  24. carriers, brokers are being rejected why produce season is upon
  25. us. And as you will tell in the next couple
  26. of slides, there are certain areas that this affects.
  27. One thing that we can actually hang our cap on
  28. is that the midwest and the Northeast tender rejections have
  29. declined. What does that mean?
  30. That means that loads heading out of that area are
  31. getting booked, which we want to make sure that we
  32. are capitalizing on.
  33. So any freight from body armor out of buffalo heading
  34. to Georgia florida.
  35. We have burial loads that are going from indiana and
  36. Kentucky down to the Carolinas.
  37. Also to Georgia and florida.
  38. We want to make sure that we are taking full
  39. advantage of those loads.
  40. That means setting max pays low, getting good appointment times
  41. because we will be able to buy extremely well of
  42. those areas.
  43. However tough outbound markets again, where do things grow during
  44. the summer florida Georgia, the pacific northwest California.
  45. Those areas will have more freight and less trucks.
  46. So what does that mean for us on the operation
  47. side of the business?
  48. This next slide will tell you exactly that the carrier
  49. floor. One thing that they look at on a daily
  50. basis is What loads are appointed for the following day
  51. by one p.m. today 20 of our freight that we
  52. move is un appointed for the next day.
  53. Don't be that guy.
  54. Don't be that girl.
  55. Why? Because that will directly affect our pre book percentage
  56. and it will affect our profits and losses throughout the
  57. entire company.
  58. And at the end of the day, in fact what
  59. commissions are paid out bonuses.
  60. All of that goes right into the scenario that we
  61. have in front of us.
  62. So why do we preach schedule as far out as
  63. you can because that will help the entire company be
  64. in a better place.
  65. So make sure that we are scheduling out as far
  66. as we can.
  67. We're putting the correct information and loads because all of
  68. that directly affects how we are all paid at the
  69. end of the month.
  70. Next up as you can tell on this beautiful map
  71. right here.
  72. Red is the increased loser loads.
  73. Green is the decreased loser loads, so runs bad greens
  74. good obviously, and we just want to take a glance
  75. at it, Georgia florida.
  76. Those areas in the southeast obviously are starting to come
  77. right why?
  78. Because there is freight that is tough to get covered
  79. out of there.
  80. So, again, doing everything that we can in our power
  81. to make sure that we're communicating with the carrier floor
  82. to get our freight schedule and pre booked as quickly
  83. as possible out of those areas to maintain are positive
  84. margin and not dip into that red.
  85. Lastly, you will hear this within the next two weeks
  86. more than you probably ever will want to D.
  87. O. T blitz week.
  88. What does that mean?
  89. That means that carriers will be inspected from 54-56 I
  90. believe are the dates but freight moving that entire week
  91. will be affected by it carries on the road will
  92. be stopped by the Department of Transportation for inspections on
  93. insurance to make sure that maintenance on the trucks are
  94. up to date and also any violations that really speeding.
  95. I mean even a seatbelt ticket could go on your
  96. CDL or license so we want to make sure that
  97. we are managing our acceptance to the best of our
  98. abilities, working with the account managers and the sales reps.
  99. Do we have to take this load?
  100. Do we not have to?
  101. Is it Elaine or loads that we work with the
  102. carrier floor on a regular basis?
  103. That we can make sure that we service to the
  104. best of our ability.
  105. Those are all things that we want to make sure
  106. that we are taking into perspective as we head into
  107. the next couple of weeks.
  108. Thank you very much for listening to the week 16-market
  109. update. You will see rob's email attached as well.
  110. Give it the once over.
  111. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach
  112. out to get some ass, get some prey on the
  113. board, work together.
  114. See you guys next time.
