  1. Hi, welcome to my president presentation.
  2. Um I'm using this to make a video about acids and bases. So a base is a substance.
  3. A base is a substance capable of reacting with an acid to form assaults and water
  4. or more broadly of accepting or neutralizing hydrogen ions.
  5. An acid
  6. is a chemical substance that neutralizes alkali,
  7. dissolves some metals and translate.
  8. Misread
  9. typically a sour tasting liquid
  10. bases are typically better.
  11. A ph level
  12. ph is a scale used to specify the acidity, orb acidity of an
  13. awkward ist solution.
  14. Acidic solutions are measured to have lower pH values than
  15. the basic or all kinds of solutions
  16. ions. An atom or molecule with net electric charge
  17. due to loss or gain of one or more electrons,
  18. hydrogen.
  19. A real life example is that is um
  20. we use acids in everyday life.
  21. We use them while using things such as vinegar, lemon juice and soda.
  22. Um
  23. if you look up here, this is the ph scale.
  24. Um
  25. Water is a neutral, which is at seven.
  26. Milk is an acid. So um one through six are acids and eight through 14 are bases.
  27. So things such as
  28. gastric acids, lemon juice, a bunch of like
  29. juicy acidic juices,
  30. coffee, milk,
  31. um most of the liquids that you would be drinking our assets and then
  32. um stuff such as eggs, baking soda. Hand soap, bleach concentrated solutions are
  33. associated with bases.
  34. So this is just an example to see what types of
  35. things that in the acids and bases category and how you know
  36. what the ph is of it.
  37. Um
  38. So an example of this is you can get ph testing strips for your pool or for um
  39. your fish tank or whatever, to make sure that it is at the right page.
  40. That needs to be to keep everybody safe and healthy.
  41. So that is my presentation.
  42. Thank you for watching.
