00:00 - 00:03
Hi guys, my name is Jessica Pingree.
00:03 - 00:05
I'm just gonna tell you a little bit about myself.
00:05 - 00:09
I grew up in a really, really small town of burgess.
00:09 - 00:12
Um It sets on the Missouri side of mulberry Kansas.
00:12 - 00:15
A lot of you probably know where that is. Um
00:16 - 00:20
It's roughly maybe got 50 people in it. Um
00:20 - 00:24
it's a pretty small um low income town.
00:24 - 00:27
Um currently my husband and I are a
00:27 - 00:31
blended family and together we have seven Children,
00:31 - 00:32
that's a lot.
00:33 - 00:35
Um so we stay really, really busy.
00:35 - 00:37
He works for the railroad,
00:37 - 00:41
he drives the train and I am currently working on my teaching degree.
00:42 - 00:45
I love to teach and it's always been a dream of mine
00:45 - 00:48
since I was in third grade and my third grade teacher really
00:48 - 00:51
give me my inspiration to teach.
00:52 - 00:58
I am looking forward to being able to finally be done with my teaching degree.
00:58 - 01:02
Um I really want to work in preschool to third grade.
01:02 - 01:05
That's my hope Anyway. Um
01:06 - 01:07
I
01:08 - 01:11
I love to spend time outdoors, like to hunt and fish and
01:12 - 01:19
I used to have quite a few farm animals until we moved into more of the city limits. Um
01:21 - 01:27
My oldest daughter is 10 and she was born um with by Radiolab play Asia,
01:27 - 01:29
meaning that she has both clubbed hands
01:29 - 01:33
and that is something that we have spent some time working on
01:33 - 01:35
with Shriners Hospital and through physical
01:35 - 01:38
therapy and occupational therapy and um
01:39 - 01:41
for me as a mom,
01:41 - 01:44
working with her through her struggles and helping
01:44 - 01:46
her to learn things in her own way that's
01:46 - 01:50
uniquely different from how you and I or anybody
01:50 - 01:53
else would learn to do things really gives me
01:54 - 01:58
kind of a edge with my teaching.
01:58 - 02:01
I think outside the box and I like to find ways that
02:01 - 02:04
kids can learn to do things that are different from others,
02:04 - 02:08
especially for those kids who maybe don't learn quite as fast
02:08 - 02:11
or need more hands on stuff or what have you like,
02:11 - 02:16
I enjoy being able to use what I know what's helped my daughter
02:16 - 02:21
learn to do all these different things in her own way in the classroom
02:21 - 02:26
with kids in their learning and helping them to maybe find ways to do
02:26 - 02:30
math or to read words or just sound them out and blend that.
02:30 - 02:31
Maybe
02:32 - 02:34
they wouldn't really think about otherwise.
02:34 - 02:35
Um,
02:35 - 02:39
so that's just a little bit about me and I hope to get to know each of you a little more to
