00:02 - 00:06
I'm Corey KJ Kelly, and I'm here to talk to you
00:06 - 00:08
about my missions.
00:08 - 00:13
And so basically, my first one is my vision statement.
00:13 - 00:18
And next one is my mission statement, my values, my measures
00:18 - 00:22
and then how you'll be able to get in touch with me. So let's get into it.
00:23 - 00:25
So basically, my vision statement
00:26 - 00:27
in a sense is
00:28 - 00:32
we would like to set a standard of excellence, you know, on and off the field,
00:32 - 00:33
which is important as an
00:34 - 00:34
athlete
00:35 - 00:36
and as a coach and um
00:36 - 00:40
it's big for us to have integrity and everything that we do.
00:40 - 00:42
I think that's one of the first steps
00:42 - 00:45
to be successful in everything we do is have integrity,
00:45 - 00:47
mean what you say and say what you mean.
00:47 - 00:47
And
00:47 - 00:50
if you say something, then you better live up to it and do it.
00:51 - 00:53
And of course, our big thing is
00:53 - 00:56
we're in the business of winning, of course, on and off the field,
00:56 - 00:57
that's important because
00:58 - 01:00
we wanna be successful.
01:00 - 01:02
And so one of the first ways to be successful is, you know,
01:02 - 01:04
just winning and having integrity.
01:05 - 01:08
And so basically what our slogan,
01:08 - 01:12
you know, is, is we're gonna be able to lead by examples, not about winning.
01:12 - 01:13
There's a process
01:14 - 01:15
and don't,
01:15 - 01:17
don't miss the process because there are key
01:17 - 01:20
things and features in the process that are
01:21 - 01:23
important that you wouldn't want to miss out on
01:24 - 01:27
because the process, it, it takes a while. So we need to be able to
01:28 - 01:33
enjoy it, learn from our mistakes, learn from our successes
01:33 - 01:34
during the process.
01:35 - 01:36
So,
01:36 - 01:37
and that's the way you know,
01:38 - 01:40
you wanna have integrity is you wanna
01:40 - 01:42
be able to learn from the process.
01:46 - 01:49
And then our next uh mission statement,
01:51 - 01:56
um basically with that mission mission statement, it's all about
01:56 - 02:01
being a team player and everything that we do because on a team, you can't be selfish,
02:01 - 02:03
you can't be all about me, meaning
02:03 - 02:04
you gotta learn how to,
02:05 - 02:05
you know,
02:05 - 02:10
talk to others and put others first because in everything that you do as a team or,
02:10 - 02:13
you know, in sports and in life, you're most likely gonna
02:14 - 02:18
have somebody else by your side. So you need to know how to communicate and
02:18 - 02:22
put other first and not always, you know, make it about you,
02:24 - 02:28
team player is what it's mostly gonna be about.
02:28 - 02:29
You know, you wanna
02:29 - 02:34
know how to be a team player and know how to put teammates first and
02:34 - 02:36
the team just in general and everything
02:39 - 02:44
and then the values, you know, integrity, discipline, effort and respect.
02:45 - 02:48
You know, the first one is really important to have integrity and you know,
02:48 - 02:49
discipline.
02:49 - 02:53
He's doing the right thing for the right way for the right reason and effort.
02:53 - 02:55
Uh, nobody can, um,
02:56 - 02:59
tell you how much effort you give that's on you.
02:59 - 03:01
So having effort is really important
03:01 - 03:04
and respect, you, respect everybody and everything that you do.
03:04 - 03:06
You don't fear anybody but you respect them.
03:09 - 03:09
And then
03:10 - 03:11
just me point on measuring is, you know,
03:11 - 03:16
get feedback and measure how they're doing and seeing what they don't and
03:17 - 03:22
do understand um being evaluated by others and
03:22 - 03:25
just seeing how everybody interacts and
03:26 - 03:27
in the classroom and
03:27 - 03:28
in general,
03:29 - 03:35
and you can contact me at this number and my email at the bottom.
