  1. Hi. My name is Congratulations, everyone. We're almost done in a few days.
  2. Um,
  3. I've been nursed for a while and have noticed many patients with type two diabetes,
  4. uh, do not know how to manage their chronic conditions.
  5. Uh, they know like they're supposed taking medication.
  6. They're supposed to watch their diet, but they have no idea in details,
  7. so they tend to come to ICU because of the decay.
  8. Therefore,
  9. I wanted to be an expectation to help them out as their primary provider
  10. so they can have better self care skills to bed and manage their diabetes.
  11. My greatest success so far is finishing this problem during this pandemic.
  12. Um, I mean, I never went to school in America, and then English is my second language.
  13. So I really had no idea how to write a paper and have no idea about the a p a.
  14. And they're, uh,
  15. writing paper was the weakness, uh, also,
  16. you know, because of the pandemic covid virus, it was hard to find a receptor.
  17. Finding babysitters is the club school was closed and working for time.
  18. Everything was against my plan during the school life and the pandemic.
  19. Uh, so It was very challenging,
  20. but we are here to enjoy. In how? Our holiday in a few days.
  21. I'm so glad we are in the final line.
  22. Uh, as I mentioned, I've been married so long, maybe like 15, 16 years. So
  23. having mindset as a provider was very challenging, uh, during this program.
  24. So thankfully,
  25. the first perceptive had been present me a nurse practitioner student a few times,
  26. and he already knew, uh, there was the weakness for the MP student,
  27. so he helped me out to have a mindset as a provider. Sometimes
  28. he's telling me that, like you are a doctor, you are the nurse.
  29. You are in the position, give orders, you're not supposed to take orders.
  30. So it was a little bit weird in the first time, but I think I'm getting the mindset,
  31. but I know I still have to work on it.
  32. Also,
  33. I realized I need to continue advance my knowledge and skills as an expectation.
  34. Er
  35. um,
  36. finishing this program and certifying myself as a nurse
  37. practitioner do not make me a good provider.
  38. And then I realized that my knowledge is very spa official to provide the care so
  39. I plan to
  40. take some extra courses to have my knowledge and skills, such as,
  41. like a diagnosis test or reading the radiology test.
  42. Something like that.
  43. Over from this class,
  44. I've learned how to research and apply the
  45. evidence based research or study to the practice.
  46. Um,
  47. I always have to look for the latest evidence based practice
  48. or, uh, current protocol to provide the best practice to our patients.
  49. And then I've learned that debt is our responsibility
  50. to apply the latest evidence based practice to our patients.
  51. Care as a nurse practitioner,
  52. my goal is working with diabetic patient in the future.
  53. Uh, there was my first reason to apply this program.
  54. So first,
  55. I want to work in the primary care
  56. clinic settings to advance my skills and knowledge.
  57. Uh, so it might help me to learn, uh, most chronic disease to manage,
  58. such as hypertension, kidney disease and diabetes.
  59. Because these are all
  60. related.
  61. Also, I plan to apply the DNP program in a few years,
  62. uh, to advance my skills and the knowledge.
  63. Um,
  64. also, I'm planning to take a diabetic educators, uh, license like certifications,
  65. if I need it.
  66. Because, um,
  67. final goal will be working in the diabetic clinics to help the diabetic patients.
  68. Thank you, everyone for being wonderful classmates.
  69. I really enjoyed your discussions and post.
