  1. Hello. My name is Cameron Chambers.
  2. I am a freshman majoring in elementary education.
  3. I am from Alexandria, Virginia.
  4. And today I'm gonna be talking about what I learned
  5. from freshman studies.
  6. I have four tops I'm gonna be talking about and
  7. let's dive into the first one.
  8. Our first topic here is clear goals.
  9. The assignments.
  10. We had a freshman studies helped us find our goals
  11. and how to apply them to college.
  12. Here I have my vision board and this picture of
  13. me in the middle.
  14. There are pictures of families and there's quotes.
  15. See, there's a little baby, a little wedding ring.
  16. There's someone traveling.
  17. There's a house.
  18. I'm gonna read some of my quotes here.
  19. We have banished the negative.
  20. Be different.
  21. Revel in nature, lift your spirits.
  22. And in the corner we have I support young black
  23. joy. So this just shows how I wanna have.
  24. I wanna have a lot of positivity around me.
  25. That's my goal.
  26. I want to be surrounded by people who have my
  27. best interests at heart.
  28. I I really want a family.
  29. In the future.
  30. I want to be stable enough to have a family
  31. to be able to travel to, but I have a
  32. house of my own.
  33. That's my number.
  34. That's my number one goal.
  35. Next, we have no ticking strategies, and I'm gonna be
  36. talking about highlighting.
  37. It's here.
  38. I have a pair of my notes.
  39. As you can see, it's highlighted pink, orange and green.
  40. There's not a set order I have them in.
  41. But I like to highlight.
  42. And I think that's better for me because I can
  43. see it clearly.
  44. And if you just highlight the word, it's easier to
  45. find it.
  46. Look, if you're using your notes for something, you can
  47. easily find what you're looking for because it's highlighted and
  48. the different colors so it doesn't just like mesh together
  49. and confuse your eyes.
  50. She is easier for me for our next topic.
  51. We're gonna be diving into the disc personality tree.
  52. Majority of my personality, after taking this test, said that
  53. I am I think, 30% steadiness, which honestly just means
  54. that I have patience, that I am calm and easy,
  55. easy going.
  56. I prefer to interact with people I know and I'm
  57. more reserved.
  58. But when I am talking to people, I make sure
  59. that I listened to them clearly before I say what
  60. I need to say, I make sure because it's easier
  61. to communicate with people once you listen to them.
  62. It's very hard to have a conversation if you continue
  63. to interrupt that person.
  64. This part of my personality can help me and interacting
  65. with people in college because I don't know, toe, listen,
  66. I know that I like to listen, and so I
  67. put myself in situations where I'll be able to look
  68. that person and understand what they have to say and
  69. give myself time to talk and say and respond.
  70. Our final topic is defined my values.
  71. We've had a lot of assignments this semester that talks
  72. about our values like our very last, um, Discussion Board
  73. was about our goals and who we are.
  74. I'm extremely happy when I see good things happening to
  75. other people.
  76. In a part of my values are, ah, part of
  77. my a part of my personality would be being reliable,
  78. respecting others and being honest, because how can you have
  79. any type of relationship with someone, or how are you
  80. able to get opportunities if you are not honest, reliable
  81. and respectful, knowing that these are three important values of
  82. mine. They have shaped who I am as a person
  83. and how I talk to people, how I act around
  84. people, how I want to be perceived by others.
  85. My value shaped who I am.
