  1. Hello everyone welcome to my video on the leadership styles
  2. for my crisis and some of them will recur through
  3. the different time frames.
  4. Yeah. My crisis is a fire that occurred in a
  5. small village called cross Point and Stanton.
  6. And at the three minute mark.
  7. This is when fires and flames are coming out of
  8. a home and the residents are seeing that the leaderships
  9. that are appropriate is the autocratic style, authoritarian type of
  10. leadership. So these people are very bold, confident, commanding.
  11. They operate on instinct.
  12. So their style is directive, they give orders, they function
  13. on a structure command system.
  14. And similar to that sharing a directive style is transactional.
  15. Different as they can be a little more motivating.
  16. I'm sorry, a little more supportive meaning.
  17. They consider the needs of their follower.
  18. Why people follow um autocratic leadership because they consider the
  19. needs in the sense of basic needs of mass, low
  20. hierarchy of needs in this case follow me and I
  21. get you to safety.
  22. So sounds good, The three hour mark.
  23. This is when the fire starts to spread and there's
  24. emerge responder people are evacuating or fully evacuate at this
  25. point. Um The type of leadership that is appropriate at
  26. this time is situational because the style just change their,
  27. trying to adapt with the moment and the people that
  28. are fully evacuated so there's no more fully autocratic.
  29. Um but there's still some directive style of leadership which
  30. is transactional.
  31. Now the leader will guide people towards other needs which
  32. is um shelter and food because of the losses in
  33. this fire.
  34. So at a three day smart you have the fire
  35. that ended and this is the recovery and rebuilding process.
  36. The leadership again changes and you can throw in the
  37. situation leadership again.
  38. But um at this point it would be transformational.
  39. So this leader is um again considered of their followers
  40. need which is how to rebuild the community at this
  41. point and they are visionary.
  42. They are very uh motivating, engaging and really helping people
  43. move forward from this point.
  44. And the transformational leadership is also very engaging by looking
  45. at the needs of the falls to see how they
  46. can achieve their goal at this point.
  47. And then you have democratic which can also ties in
  48. with transformational because they're considered their needs, People know best
  49. what they need in this case this community, everyone will
  50. recover differently.
  51. Um They will have different needs in order to rebuild
  52. the community.
  53. So they would follow this democratic leader because they are
  54. engaging having active participation from the community, from their followers,
  55. how to how to rebuild this community better.
  56. For example how should we make it more safe to
  57. prevent this uh um situation that just happened.
  58. Yes. And the last part is the um three weeks
  59. mark which is the healing recovery process, where the community
  60. is already rebuilt it, People adjusting um to normalcy and
  61. just towards the healing process and the type of leadership
  62. is charismatic.
  63. I left this last because these leaders like to transmit
  64. their charismatic, their track followers, they say the right thing,
  65. they look in a way that people want to follow
  66. them and there are very motivational, they create gary speech
  67. um sometimes but sometimes they don't have the skills and
  68. action to carry out the goals although they have a
  69. sense of purpose but the transformational does they have active
  70. listening skill to consider the needs of their follower.
  71. They can make decisions that are immediate or difficult and
  72. again they empower people to heal and um encourage resilience
  73. um after a crisis.
  74. So these two companion him but I think transformation is
  75. more appropriate and the situation no leader would occur in
  76. every city.
  77. That would be the over view of all the time
  78. frame. Because these ships out change based on the situation
  79. and the people that they deal with, and that's all
  80. from my presentation.
  81. Thank you so much.
  82. Everyone have a great week.
  83. Take care.
